I regard Billy McNeil and Bobby Murdoch as Celtic's greatest ever players, but Jinky Jimmy would be up there. I'm sure Henrik Larsson would make the top five, but I'd have Paul McStay and the other three I've mentioned above Larsson.

Dalglish only became a great player when at Liverpool. And isn't his Celtic Park reputation somewhat sullied by the John Barnes affair?

After writing about Bobby Murdoch earlier, I was prompted to go and find his autograph. I got it when he came here with Jack Charlton's Middlesbrough, circa 1975. Got Graeme Souness' too. and Terry Cooper. Boro won 5-1.

Larrson was not pure magic, to me he was more!! Loved his style, his composure, his determination. Would have loved to see him play in Italy, and perhaps would have loved to see him playing in a great club such as Barcelona for a longer span of time. But what can you do, that's the downside of a professional career, that you often have to move around the world. Anyway I'm a big fan of his.

So has he retired or is he still playing in Sweden??
