If they ban party pills then people will take harder drugs, they
will rob ol grannies of their pensions, then end up in jail or
worse dead!!
They have been banned theres just a six month grace period for the suppliers to get rid of the stock they have!

Just interested to see what everyone thinks about Jim Anderton's
stupid political ploy to attempt to get back into Parliament i.e.
Banning party pills. I don't take them myself, but working in a
liquor store that sells quite a lot of them I have had quite a bit
of exposure to the negatives and positives of party pills. I don't
think they should be banned, I don't believe they have been proved
to be any worse than alcohol or tobacco. What it comes down to is
usage in moderation. Perhaps the better option would have been
limiting them to be sold in licensed premises only, instead of
allowing every other corner dairy to sell them. Anyone got
any thoughts...
there are positives to party pills?!
Mainly helping drug users stay off harder drugs. The amount of
people I have spoken to, who have stopped using harder and illegal
drugs because there was a legal alternative. Party Pills have
caused no deaths in this country yet, sure they have helped
contribute when mixed with other drugs and alcohol at the same
time, but the alcohol and harder drugs were the main problems. It
might be surprising to some but some of the main users of party
pills are shift workers and truck drivers etc. A lot of people have
told me they will simply go back to using other drugs to help them
get through their shifts. This can't be good...
they have positives alright - kept me awake for 2 days during 7s
weekend earlier this year!
its the amount of water i had to drink when i started cramping up in Kitty OSheas thats the negative bit!

Rather use the harder drugs. But i didnt say that. he he.
WTF are "party pills"?
pills of BZP and sometimes TFMPP which are meant to produce effects similar to speed and/or E.
they arnt actaully anything like the real thing but for legal alternatives there are some quite good ones out there. i disagree with the banning completly, nz doesnt need anymore people getting hooked on pure meth, and this will happen with party pills being illegal. even if they are illigealised they will still be easy to get hold of but they will be more expensive and with no industry standards anyboy could make them, making it more dangerous. the government is so blind when it comes to these sort of things
LOL! So, there could be a market for fake-fake E's?
ha party pills - they are okay I guess just not the next two
days... and the amount of water you drink is crazy. litres and
litres. I can't belive they haven't banned mexican tripping weed
but they are banning party pills
nuts!
I saw Jim Anderton's son sing in band once and he was ripped off
his tits on acid!
True story.
Think i will give the cattle drench based
stimulants a body swerve and stick to pints of bookbinders
,call me old fashioned!
If party pills are banned, I will probably take up heroin.
They are mildly amusing at the time, but it is the bursting
into tears everytime anyone speaks to me for the next week that I
can't stand.
It's when the pills get emptied out and the powder gets taken
directly that people start getting screwed up. THere was talk of
people taking the powder and injecting it too.
Me, I'm not a fan of it being sold in dairies, cos I've got kids. If Target spots the odd dairy owner selling ciggies and porn to kids what else might they sell? Fair enough if you're of age and you want to make that decision for yourself.
That's my two cents anyway...

I agree Bullfrog, they should not be sold in dairies. A licensed
premise would be the way to go because they are used to dealing
with minors. Dairies and the like are just too easy for some young
people to get their hands on the stuff.
