Ok, by using the OFF TOPIC section of the Forum - we've managed to uncover theres YF guys n' girls who are NFL followers and even the odd QPR supporter......this brings me to another "random" pastime...

Musicians......now i play a bit of guitar (recently bought a new amp n' gat for close to $1800) and just wondering if theres any other talented YF cats out there who'd be keen on a jam sometime.....the Yellow Fever Band?? halftime show at the last home game of the season?? hahahaha

in form two i used to play the triangle in the school orchestra -does that count?

I played bass in a school/pub band a couple years ago back in Oz but sold my Ibanez gear before I moved here.

Would be keen to pick it up again if you're dead set and depending on the music you'd wanna play...

i'd be keen to jam up on some covers for the purposes of playin a gig somewhere at some stage......traditional pub (a la Big Kumara) classics like Santeria and the odd STP and Foos number chucked in for good measure.

in all seriousness i'd like to get a band goin so if anyone knows of a band or group of lads (or lasses) who are keen then let me know.

Yeah I might be up for getting a new bass and hitting it again - we used to go off covering Everlong in the bar so could be good :D

I play guitar although I only have an acoustic these days as I sold my babies (40th Anniversary Fender Strat and a Samick ES-335) many years ago *sniff sniff*

yeah i feel that pain Quack - recently sold my Fender Strat as well, running a Epiphone Special II (Les Paul) at the moment, thru a 120 watt Laney Amp (makes the house shake)

upgrading to the Laney Stack fairly soon tho.

I can relate to that too, fellas. I remember that the saddest part about packing up and moving to NZ was selling my drums.      I knew the guy I sold them to, so at least they went to a good home.
