If Barcelona keep squandering chances like this morning, I wouldn't bet on it. They're missing a clinical finisher, especially when Messi's not at his best.

The odds of another 24+ shots on goal, at home, and none hitting the back of the net, would be paying about $500 if such a bet existed

Agreed, but if Barca score 2 and Chelsea get 1 then Barca are out... however I still don't think that's going to happen

I am a long way from being a Chelsea fan, a long way

but that was an epic performance and had me off my seat

to the Chelsea fans i know - congratulations

a hugely gutsy performance over two legs

Agree that they played their guts out, but they had an unbelievable amount of luck through both games.

I wonder what that means for the final - have they used up all their luck in the semis? Or is this just Chelsea's year in the Champions League?

Great work from Bayern too, think they're only the second team to play the final at home in the history of the competition.

I predict it will go to penalties and the decisive one will be taken by Lampard, who will drill it into the crossbar with such power it will rebound straight back to him and break his nose. You heard it here first

NO SKY TV AND WANT TO WATCH THE CHAMPIONS LGE FINAL?

Found this site recently -very good for live streams. Will have one recommended stream for each match plus can click on list of alternatives available. Has annoying ads on screen initially when video loads but you can click them away easily.

As a prelude to the men's final there's always the UEFA Women's Champions League Final - was played in Munich this morning:

I watched Football Fern Ria Percival play for FFC Frankfurt against Olympique Lyonnais in the UEFA Women's Champions League Final from the Olympic Stadium in Munich on this site this morning (50,000 record crowd for European women's club football). Will be no problem finding the men's Champions League Final or West Ham's promotion final here:

http://www.vipbox.tv/sports/football.html

WOMEN'S FINAL: my comments whilst watching live stream:

Ria Percival came on in  the 60th minute to add some pace- described by the commentator as "a very, very fast player- she could make a difference..."

Crowd confirmed as 50,000- a record for a Women's European Final and I think for any European women's club match.

Commentator remarks Ria is already making a difference with her pace and helping create more chances for Frankfurt, more balls in the Lyon box...both commentators saying thay can't understand why Ria didn't start the game- "one of those bizarre decisions..."

Still 2-0 at 70 mins and Frankfurt getting forward more.

Fulltime: finishes 2-0 and Lyon deserved winners for the second year in a row. As the commentators on Eurosport sum up, Frankfurt paid the price for adopting too defensive a strategy and not fully utilizing their attacking talent like Percival. Ria's last game for Frankfurt- off to join Amber Hearn at Jena in East Germany next season...

Ria- as far as I know, the first Kiwi to appear in a European Women's Final.

From the new Yellow Fever thread I've started on "Kiwi Women Overseas":
