And Barba wins with 2 rounds to spare.
The Mighty Warriors - Fever League Fred
Matulino did very well to pick up 15 points. Looks like he dropped out of the top 10 at the end, but probably only Sam Burgess scored higher than him for a non playmaker position.
The SMH is suggesting that the Tigers wouldn't stop Sheens leaving his contract early to take up the Warriors job. I would be quite happy with him, he has won the comp 4 times and plays an attacking style that would suit the players the Warriors have.
So the club fires McClennan to get a big name coach, and end up having to interview the Raiders assistant coach? They obviously took a leaf out of Wolves play book.
Seriously disappointing after the Bellamy rumours.
Better than the rumour that we're going to appoint Kearney, that'd be ridiculous, sacking a coach for poor performance then hiring somebody who has a far worse track record
I think Sheens would jump at the chance to join the Warriors. Tigers are losing a lot of good players this off season and just seem to be in a right mess. Warriors have a good amount of cap space available, tons of promising youngsters and like to attack.
Absolutely atrocious from Manly last night. Poor old Jaime Lyon was just fantastic, he's gotta be close to the best player in league, yet their forwards were just terrible, dropping bunny passes, not making any metres, just woeful. Brett Stewart is class too but not even he can stop 28 raids at his line.
Really hoping that Steve Matai doesn't turn up in a Kiwi's jumper, same old stuff, big hit, illegal hit, injury, dumbass play, trying to play through injury when he's obviously nowhere near able to, I know our centre depth is lacking but please, chuck my mancrush Krisnan Inu in there over Matai.
Anyone ever come across league streams online?
Cheers, managed to find one. Couple of tries on the bad of cheap penalties in that half. Need my boys to score first this half big time.
Sheens is available now. If the Warriors are not beating down his door to talk to him, I will be massively disappointed. The other options don't come close to his record and status.
Apparently he has withdrawn his name and is keen to maintain his ties with the storm when his contract expires. So, says Stuff which isn't the most credible source when it comes to sports news.
Still, Sheens isn't bad if Ballamy isn't gonna happen. Better than some assistant coach from somewhere.
Yeah Sheens has a huge amount of experience and i think will be good for the club however, it doe pose the question is there a conflict of interest because he is the Australian coach aswell ? I mean a large portion of the New Zealand team are warriors players.
Yep agree with that. If I were the Warriors I would be saying he has to drop that position.
Anyone ever come across league streams online?
Matt Elliott and David Kidwell... seriously?
I'm still clinging to the dream that the Storm win tomorrow, Bellamy gets his redemption and needs a new challenge. Us.
You could do a lot worse than listen to the nrl gf commentary with Roy & HG.

Storm were just so clinical tonight. Well deserved winners.
All this debate over Kasiano, yet I wouldn't even have him in my Kiwis side, I think last night showed why. There are 3 Kiwi forwards in the grand final I'd rather have, not to add all the others who didn't make it - Blair, Matulino, Smith etc. And if he picks Aussie I very much doubt we'd see him in their team at all.
He will get picked. Just so he will be locked into a nation for at least the next 2 years. These issues will keep happening, because the international rugby league board is a joke.
Dropping Manu seemed a bit far from Kearney IMO. And someone tell me what Sam McKendry has done to play 7 times for the Kiwis?
Former New Zealand Test firebrand and Melbourne assistant Kidwell is set to be appointed Warriors coach later this week - with ex-Penrith and Canberra mentor Matthew Elliott his likely offsider.
Seriously underwhelmed if that is true. They might as well just kept McClennan.
I wanna marquee coach, too.
Not to be positive on the Warriors, but since these so-called "super coaches" aren't keen on coming here, why not get a young up-and-coming coach? All the likes of Bennett, Bellamy, Hasler, had to get a chance somewhere, who's to say Kidwell won't be the next one? He's certainly been learning from the best.
Either way, whoever gets appointed will do better than last year. All those losses by a few points won't happen again, it's just random variance. So let's just not start singing the new coach's praises if we improve by two or three wins. That's just the NRL.
Kearney was an assistant at the Storm as well, that hasn't worked out well. If we can't get someone like Sheens, I would go for Ackland. Most of the team are kids from his NYL teams.
None of whom who can play defence, so I'm not sure that problem would be solved. But yeah, I think I'd rather promote from within than go for a tried-and-failed coach like Kearney. I feel sorry for Tony Iro, forced to take over a slumping team with no fight left, really ruined his chances of taking the job.
elLOLiott. Give me strength.
Seen this guy somewhere before...
Not happy with Elliott. Dunno if its related, but the club seems to be becoming badly run since Owen Glenn took an ownership share.
Players not happy with coach Klein but the players of the Muddogs were not happy either, we have to remember that they were shite to begin with but they won the Bourbon Bowl in the end.
Not a bad effort at all last night

Not many good outside backs without contracts at this time of the season.

Prince signed for Brisbane.
Dominique Peyroux - Surely that is a netballer, not a league player?
