NZFC website?
....With the Badminton Australia website! Maybe the powers that be have given up - or is it another cunning plan?
If you must whine about the website can we keep it contained in here please ? Thanks.
Club pages fitting in the same website as well. Explains why the TW site has been short on news.
It's got a few challenges.
I've had the new one since 15:00
Still the old site. Links on NZF and TW take you to old site. Last news on TW site 22/8 even though they have this years squad there.
Log-on using the same domain name of www.nzfc.co.nz but don't expect anything tired about your glitzy new website.
finally got the new 1!
Thanks for your email.
I am not sure why you need to fire a shot at NZF and assume that the delay is because we are not doing are job. I can assure you that a number of people have been working extremely hard and put some long hours into developing this new site.
Some facts -
The site went live yesterday afternoon but it took time for it to populate the servers and search engines. For example it was live in Christchurch before it was live on my screen.
There is a significant amount of content on the site which takes time to collate and audit.
We are reliant on player data coming from the franchises photos, bios etc. Whilst this was requested some time ago a number of franchises were slow (up to ten days late) in delivering the information which meant a delay in getting it to you.
We have endeavoured to keep you fully informed of the draw; squad lists etc through the NZF web page and directed you to the NZF web page through the old NZFC portal.
Yes we could have gone live earlier but that would have meant putting something into the public domain that was incomplete and of no value and, no doubt, we would have been criticised for that also.
The new site will bring to you a raft of new features including video, live match updates, stories and photos from all of the weekends games. It will be interesting to see how many will actually say well done rather than being so quick to point a rather uninformed finger.
