Just a boring work story... got some basic video editing software on my juke box but nobody wants to get in front of my camera (aka: phone) to help me test/learn it lol... used myself and bribed a colleague with coffee.

It amazes me how good (comparitively) a video you can shoot with a phone these days... and the basic editing and adding text you can do with a software.

If its a yellow beaver, you are either in Thailand, she has something wrong with her beaver, or both. Either way, it does not scream 'must watch'

Something like 40inchmamas.com or 0800 INMYBUTT

How do I This x10???

The thing is Vickmeist who has no interest in Rugby, (so she says), suddenly can't stand the fact that I think the AB's get their way all the time from the refs. Good on England I say. All blacks the fergiesque ManU of the Rugby world.

England played well tonight and deserved something out of that game. The inconsistency of some of the big decisions with that taffy git favouring the AB's was a nonsense. No wonder they are unbeaten at Eden Park since 1994.

If that game were a 'soccer' game:

Dull 1-0 win in a friendly game.

But since its a rugby game:

Enthralling 20-15 win in a test match.

On this occassion, I completely agree with you. Sad thing is, this happens time and time again. Glad I missed the game, watched an excellent documentary on Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow instead.

I watched 5 minutes of it when I was grazing and got to Prime (score was 3-3 when I changed channel).

I can't believe I used to watch that game in the 80s and 90s.  The crowd was more shittier than YF midweek watching NQF in the rain.

Oh dear. One thing on the radio yesterday was about the lack of atmosphere at Rugby games and why fans are declining - other than ticket prices and crap yet expensive food. Was on RNZ Sports.

Glad with the customer service staff I have dealt with on this (In particular Frances of the Vodafone Social Media team), and there is now the possibility I could get it on Friday after they were extremely helpful telling me where the issue was and the rest. Might be better, but still gutted about the possibility of missing it.

Pity the 12 & 13 year old kids that stabbed the shopkeeper in West Auckland to death  were not drowned at birth.

People who think that footballers writhing on the ground after minor contact indicates that they're "soft". The same people who think this usually go on and on about how footballers dive all the time, but seem to mix all this up in their heads and don't understand that footballers act injured because they are trying to get some thing out of the referee (a foul or a card), not because they are actually "soft". Not defending cheating, but professional sportsman do similar shit all the time (deliberately time wasting when their team is winning; cricketers not walking when they nicked one; rugby players not releasing the ball when they are tackled with no support; league players not letting opponents play the ball; etc).

Edit: I hate divers and players who act injured to try and win fouls/get cards for opponents, just to be clear. I just also hate people who bag football on that basis and act like there's no cheating in sports they follow

there are plently of ways to cheat, and it is part and parcel of professional sport, but if you do not feel embarrassed when you watch players dive and roll and scream and perform then there is something wrong with you.

It'd be better if they learnt how to act

But seriously, yes, it is embarrassing and I totally support retroactive punishments and I'm even cautiously in favour of video refereeing if it can be integrated into the game without slowing it down.

I was more trying to bitch about people who aren't football fans  going on and on about it.

I am sure rugby fans get sick of a large number of football fans going on about how rugby is just a bunch of meat-heads running into each other and then rolling about on the ground trying to cop a quick feel of someone's junk. Like working in the kids play area of a local park, it is all swings and roundabouts.

But I think the examples you use show that the sports do have different standards. Like in cricket where we are sing not walking as an example of being a bad sport. Asking professionals to walk when the umpire has given them not out is a higher standard then expecting players not to dive or roll around on the ground. I think people who don't watch football because people dive are stupid. Something like that shouldn't affect your love for the sport. For me it is not the fact that players dive/act injured but the fact that they can do so with impunity. I think Fred should get a two game ban for his dive. I know this opens up a whole can of worms and I think the referees themselves are dead against this but it would make players think twice (although probably wouldn't work in minute 90 of a World Cup Final).

Also a dive has a huge impact on a soccer game so that is why it gets so much media attention.

Likewise with Microsux. Why give us a product like their operating systems and give us 10 different ways of doing the same thing and having an unstable product, rather than give us a solid product that gives you one way of doing something that is 100% reliable and infalible?
