I think officially he's still on Fulham's books but free to leave, or something like that.

Is he getting any game time for Fulham reserves? Is he playing anywhere? He is a great player and needs to get recognised for it.

He's a silly kid who left Fullham for more game time... needs to pull his head in...
he has no club now...

young players need lots of game time. jeremy brockie is a good example seeing there was so much hype around him and he played well 4 the knights then signed with sydney got no game time and then was rubbish when it came 2 U20 world cup.

the a-league transfer window is open and chris  james doesnt have a club?
he would be awesome at the nix

We have a full squad and he'd cost a bit.

It'd be good to see another a-league club get him (for now only) so that we could watch him in this league.

Get rid of Ferrante?? He has done well enough when he has played. And why get rid of him and replace him with James when in all likelihood James would command a decent sized salary and would probably only stay until the end of the season then high-tail it back to Europe. Although he is a classy player it would probably be a short term option.

Yeah, I'm not denying that Chris James is good.

And Ferrante is not our worst midfielder.

Whos worse than Ferrante then?

I think we could do without 1 of our strikers.  I'd be inclined to say George or Brownlie
(or both).

I think we're fine all round. All our defenders are good footballers. The problem appears to be communication and organisations (classic example where O'Dor left the ball for moss trying to shield the Perth striker who got past him. Moss was lucky to get it). Players left unmarked when they shouldnt be as well.

Personally I think Ferrante has been doing better than Aloisi.

You are perfectly welcome to talk general AWs stuff on this part of the forum. Very much encouraged in fact

He is still looking around trying to find a club. He has been released by Fulham now and is asking every man and his dog for a club but according to him " it has to be up with his expectations"

As for him coming back to the Phoenix and asking for a big salary, i very much doubt it. People seem to think that since he was at fulham, he was getting loads a week. A couple of hundred pund a week tops. And people going on about jack Pelter.... well he has come on as a sub once for sunderland reserves for a 17yr old youth player... and hasnt been in the squad since. He also is only getting pittins, but obviously its a good chance to get a break and hopefully get seen. But he has to play to get seen, thats a problem. But good luck to the lad, he seems to have his head screwed on when i listened to him on the radio.

even if we get rid of a player, we have to pay out their salary for the season, and that counts for the salary cap, so it is not as simple as "get rid of player A and bring in player B".

And only people who know nothing about football would think that Ferrante has been our worse midfielder this season.

Whilst he's quality, do we want another AW at the Phoenix, NO.
