If winners of Horo/Rapa both want in, could we be looking at up to 6 relegations from Cap3 down?

In theory yes, but highly unlikely.

so NW and CF have farked over multiple grades and teams. Brilliant.

your understanding of what has happened over the last 18 months i would have expected to be better….

NW actually did a favour last season to all grades and teams below capital one once CF changed there minds and made capital 2 a 10 team league and that meant 2 teams down instead of 3 last year.

the only grade shafted/farked over was Capital 1 in having to have a bye every round.

so next years 3 down is just last years relegation level postponed 12 months.

if it is 4 teams down then it is stop outs fault as they play in the CL playoff game and NW has nothing to do with this (i hope)

So finishing 5th in Cap 5 may result in relegation. Thanks North Wellington

my math not as good as it used tone but.

10 teams and finishing 5th would not mean you are in the bottom 4

i think it would be 7th,8th,9th,and 10th depending on the play off situation.

otherwise it is going to be 3 and has been so since the start of this season when the rules and regs were sent out by CF so 8th,9th and 10th to go down and this would of been the case for last year but only 2 teams were dropped from div 1 because of BNU/Miramar issue as stated by CF.

Correct. But two teams from Kapiti and Rapa can come in in Cap 3 as well meaning up to 6 could be relegated assuming no teams drop out

well i know that 1 of our social/serious teams won the wairarapa div 1 competition this year and we (douglas villa) won't be entering another team into cap 3 so it will just depend if horo want to enter a team

and the same could of happened last year from kapiti and rapa but it didn't so lets talk about real facts not "what if's" if we are going to slag a club or person off.

if you know for certain that two more teams are coming in then say so and i will be happy to apologise and be corrected.

Are Miramar going to be using the re grading laws to the extreme tomorrow? I noticed two 16 year olds got token central league debuts last week..

They are playing Vic - if they can't beat them with their cap 1 team then they deserve to come 8th or 9th

That's because half the team were playing for NZA against the Phoenix in Taupo.

Get in there Naenae! With BNU winning 4-1 against Marist, KCU and BNU up. Big games next week. KCU don't win and BNU do then BNU can pinch it last game of the season!

So Naenae gone now. If Stop Out fail again to get in Central League then it will be one of Marist, Mar or United. Wharf now safe not to finish 8th. Wharf play Marist and Mar play Utd.

So that's KCU and BNU promoted. Heard BNU could've beaten Marist by a lot more too - sounds like Marist are a good chance for relegation going by how woeful they were today, not the time of season for a performance like that....

so now it is two games to decide the bogie spot of 4th to last.

marist's away form would put them in this position if miramar win but you never know as a unlikely marist win would put united in goal difference trouble unless they beat miramar and put them in that not nice spot.

so two games with consequences from the results for 3 teams playing in these games.

not the finish i was looking for but interesting all the same.

i here naenae played a good game and deserved the win but it didn't and couldn't stop there drop but has stopped our boys who have tried hard this year.

Was hoping the lads would get one up over NW. No way they deserve to go up. We also ruined NWs chance of promotion a few seasons back a 1-1 draw at Alex Moore stopped them going up to Cap Prem, with an 89th minute equaliser by yours truly!! Ok so it was a cross and the wind caught it and the keeper flapped it into the net, but it was still a great feeling to ruin it for them.

With the whole 11 team league thing it would have felt like a bit of an injustice if NW had been promoted imho.

In saying that, they've clearly put a bit into the season, so you've gotta feel sorry for them getting so close but missing out.

Is this a joke? haha.

Agreed Marist didn't play as well as we could have but Glover was outstanding for BNU. Our keeper had a mare. Had as many chances as BNU we just didn't finish them.

Gotta agree with the old club here. The Marist keeper definitely helped out BNU this time (just like I did last time). Marist seem to be pretty heavily depleted as well with injuries. As much as old BB may be a mad sod, the club and players themselves don't deserve the double drop and I hope they stay up. Three first teams going down to Cap 2 would be sad

I saw most of this game and I agree.  Marist had some great chances especially in the first half, and the BNU goalie pulled off some tidy saves.  The Marist goalie will want to forget his performance.

BNU deserved the win, but to say Marist were woeful is a big call

Keeper has played really well and improved a lot this season, especially considering he's only 18. Such a shame that he had his worst game around this time of the season. Footballs cruel sometimes.

BNU coach apologized for his speech at Kilbirnie Park a few months ago which was good to see.

i cannot see how woeful comes into marist's year of football.

they have beaten the top teams at home and have shown some real team spirit especially against NW the other week when they had everything thrown at them including the kitchen sink but kept there composure and faith in each other and came out with 3 valuable points that both teams needed.

i would describe there season as one of two half's and missed opportunity.

and i do hope it is only 3 down and not 4 so that who ever gets that 4th spot will not be missed next year.

I think it would be sad, but yeah perhaps more realistic of the current situation.

Ideally there would be more clubs, volunteers and funding.

Chch has had a spate of club mergers, acquisitions, closures over the last 5-6 years with varying results and implications, but it's a whole other thread.
