BRISBANE star Thomas Broich re-injured his foot as the Roar were held to a 0-0 draw by fellow A-League club Newcastle Jets in Saturday’s trial at the Cleveland Showgrounds.

Making his return from the foot injury he suffered in the Roar’s 1-0 FFA Cup loss to Western Sydney Wanderers on August 11, Broich was replaced in the second half against the Jets.

“He’s got a knock on the same foot that he got against the Wanderers,” concerned Roar coach John Aloisi said.

“He’s pretty sore, actually very sore, so we have to hope it’s nothing serious and that he’s OK.”

Football Federation Australia have released the following statement in regards to Brisbane Roar and the Bakrie Group.

“Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today received correspondence from the Bakrie Group in relation to the Brisbane Roar FC,” said an FFA spokesperson.

“The Bakrie Group has requested an extension of seven days to address matters raised by FFA.

“FFA is considering the request for an extension.

“FFA last week sought information from the Bakrie Group on the management and financial structure of the Brisbane Roar.”

Football Federation Australia have today released the following statement in regards to the Bakrie Group's ownership of Brisbane Roar.

“The Bakrie Group has been granted an extension of time to provide a comprehensive response to FFA’s concerns about the management and financial position of the Brisbane Roar,” said an FFA spokesperson.

“FFA has made it clear to the Bakrie Group that it needs to urgently demonstrate its capacity to rectify the Brisbane Roar’s situation. FFA has requested the response by 5 pm, Monday 6 June 2016.”

UPDATE: BRISBANE Roar’s failure to pay bills has cost them the services of their medical staff.

The Roar were hit with the shattering news on Tuesday night that their medicos were quitting the club due to non-payment.

Not cool what is happening to the Roar, makes what happen to the Nix all the more stupid. We have a stable well run organisation but the FFA wanted us out when they are looking after the Jets and Roar is being mis-managed. Just crazy, hope they can sort out there troubles.

Football Federation Australia have today released the following statement in regards to the Bakrie Group's management of Brisbane Roar FC.

“Football Federation Australia (FFA) has received correspondence from the Bakrie Group in relation to the financial and management position of the Brisbane Roar FC.

“The Bakrie Group has provided written undertakings on the timing and quantum of current funding of the club and the longer-term recapitalisation.

“The Bakrie Group has advised FFA that it has appointed an Australian-based Managing Director to the Brisbane Roar. This director will act as interim CEO and commence in the role this week while the club seeks a permanent appointment as CEO.

“Further, FFA is advised that the new Managing Director will work with an Advisory Board comprising of Brisbane business people in order to restore community confidence in the Brisbane Roar.

“FFA welcomes the undertakings from the Bakrie Group and expects they will be implemented without delay.”

The Bakrie Group's tumultuous reign over Brisbane Roar is almost over with the A-League club poised to be sold to a consortium led by Melbourne businessman Daniel Cobb.

Cobb, the owner of energy comparison website Electricity Watch and former Adelaide United sponsor Clean Energy Enterprises, heads a group that has agreed to buy the Roar's A-League licence from the Bakries - a sale that is subject to due diligence and approval from Football Federation Australia.

The process could see Cobb's consortium take either 100 per cent ownership of the club, or a controlling share, with the Bakries showing interest in staying on as a minority shareholder.

Cobb recently approached the Indonesian conglomerate with the proposal to buy the three-time A-League champions, subsequently flew to Jakarta to meet key Bakrie representatives, and was made the club's managing director and interim chief executive officer earlier in the week.

Family head Nirwan Bakrie has also agreed to inject $2 million into the club in a move that will allow coach John Aloisi and football director Craig Moore to begin planning for the new season.

"I'm the managing director of the club because a party that I'm related to has agreed terms with the Bakrie Group," Cobb told AAP.

"We've signed a terms sheet that will see them exit the club and us acquire the club.

"FFA need the club stabilised and we have secured a capital injection from the Bakrie Group during the time which the process with the FFA and the engagement with other stakeholders in relation to the sale is completed."

The recapitalisation from the Bakries should mean players and staff are paid on time next Wednesday, avoiding an insolvency event that would have triggered an A-League licence breach and given FFA the opportunity to take over.

Cobb intends to hold a media conference in Brisbane on Friday to elaborate on his plans for the club, but said he was unable to reveal the identity of the other investors.

Cobb's company Electricity Watch recently became a business partner of Football Federation Victoria.

Another one of his businesses, Clean Energy Enterprises, signed a three-year, $1 million sponsorship with Adelaide United in 2013.

However, it only lasted a short time before Cobb terminated the deal, and it's understood there is residual ill will between him and the club.
