Could it have been that hard to hold it on a Sunday? Theres 99% less games on, and its largely a day of nothing else to do but f**k around with all the sh*t you dont have time to do the other 6 days of the week.

Maybe the Phoenix players attending want sunday off themselves. I signed the ball last night and there is zero room left on it. The guy at Brendon Foot expressed surprise he'd even had people in to sign it yesterday. Obviously Hyaundi NZ had to do this considering the international company's link with the World Cup but judging from their promotion over here they werent that hugely enthusiastic

I imagine it would be the corporate suits that made this decision, and they wouldnt have even given saturday sports a thought. Nothing to do with the players.

I heard an ad for the event on Newstalk ZB.

This event on sat in Frank Kitts park wasn't even mentioned in the WCC's roundup up of whatson this week in the Dom Post yesterday & its not on their website calander either. They must be aware of it so why no promotion? The council could also have sent info out avout it in their "know" cultural wrapup email but nada

I truely didn't realise how little support football related things get

Hyundai should have sorted all the promo out.

I have heard several ads on Radio Sport, the Rock and Newstalk ZB.

I really doubt Hyaundai picked Sat as the date for any reason to do with Mothers Day being sunday. They prob just assumed more people are in town on Saturdays so they'd get a better turnout. Obviously they forgot the whole sat being sports day problem

About to head down - one of the awesome things about nursery grade is the 9-10am time slot. No changing, no clashing with afternoon stuff.

Will try to sign it for you Janelle.
