Haven't been keeping track, is Henry Cameron injured? He had been in every squad picked when available

McG is injured, so why is he there?

Fair call on Kosta if better players were being brought in, but in Dyer and Lewis this is questionable.

He's on loan to a conference team so maybe not being able to crack Blackpool first team is a concern. Rather Roux than Colvey, Boyd instead of Patterson and leave Brotherton behind in order to add midfield cover in Ridenton.

Jake Gleeson was granted a release by Portland for these games but not wanted.

Yeah I'm not sure I understand the dropping of Kosta. Regardless of his questionable form for the Nix, he's a good player and has performed well for the national team.

Not injured. Hasn't featured at all this season for Blackpool and had a month's loan with Telford and didn't get a whole lot of minutes with them either. I think his form has seriously slipped since his ACL injury.

I still have absolutely no idea how Dyer keeps making these sides and getting picked. With him and Lewis you are essentially picking two players that aren't ready but might be eventually. Two in the same squad seems pointless to me, and Lewis has shown more glipses than Dyer of the two.

They are only cap tie if they play, bench warming is not enough, right?

I'm sure the Aussies will be shaking in their boots.

What's happened to THW? Of all the youth prospects Hudson has chucked in there I thought he looked the best, and in the deeper lying midfield role which has been a problem area for us.

Injured. Think he did his ACL. https://www.aucklandcityfc.com/news/166/12/Heartac...

He was watching at Kiwitea St Sunday. Walking with a limp.

I'd argue Lewis is the key man for Auckland City this year, giving them a proactive force in midfield. Also very diligent in his role for the AWs.

I get Lewis, he's had a very good season at ACFC but the continued inclusion of Moses Dyer is beyond me. I'm not a big fan of Kosta but him out, Dyer in? Other than that I've got no problems with the squad. The Ingham boys are a good find.

but, but ... Hudson keeps singling him out for being "unfit".

Just can not understand why he isn't our #1, let alone in the squad. You can't tell me that playing A-League, Dutch 2nd Division and German 3rd Division is of a higher standard than starting in MLS.

I'd say the drink driving thing has Hudson questioning his professionalism. Forgetting the driving for a second, the very fact that he's out on the piss would count against him with Hudson. Otherwise, yes, he should be a shoe-in.

Agree. Chris James has done nothing wrong in an AW shirt. Personality/attitude is redundant when your now picking tommy smith

I agree that from what I've seen he's been good for City. Shown a little bit for the all whites, nothing that a James/Clapham couldn't do in the main yet, but certainly has more potential. I'm ok with him in the side.

Both Dyer and Lewis are fine at age group level, but they should not be picked for the senior team.

Is Hudson hoping they sign somewhere big and he can gloat, look at what I did for those boys?

What about Andre De Jong, he looks like an up and coming central MD.

He is more of a 10 than a 6 or 8 but he has only really played as a deep 9 this season for Canterbury.  Was used in the 10 role predominantly for the Wanderers

How's this for smoke...While watching that I couldn't get the thought from my head that Danes selection was a condition of Jai committing to the All Whites. Hudson was almost overly defensive about him In Particular.

I just cant wrap my head around a 17 year old seen for half an hour being selected for the national side. I might be wrong but he was not selected for Aussie age group sides, yet straight into our All Whites? Devalues the jersey in my humble opinion and your thought makes sense then.

He's probably alluding to Boyd at the end there when deflecting the Tommy question.

I have to say I'm a bit with him on this. Let's stop questioning ALL the time and get behind the team instead!

I'm always behind the team but if he didn't pick every time an amateur who has proved nothing with the white fern (Dyer) maybe we won't be complaining all the time

Or the article in the Herald saying that being born in NSW and living in QLD we sat done as a family and decided to play for NZ.

In other words .......... we know we have no chance of ever being good enough to play for Australia.
