Such a fucking moron.

I wish he'd stop going on about how we went through the world cup unbeaten. Yes it was great, but it's really starting to annoy me, and if I was a fence-sitting fan who was watching this game it would almost be enough for me to switch channels

Smith definitely seems to be a good choice for captain. Not that there was ever really any doubt about that...

Apparantely Honduras is trending in NZ right now

They're missing their two premier league players, Figeuroa who plays for Wigan and Palacios who plays for Stoke. Not sure about the rest of the squad

Those two Premier League players are on the bench, though probably their biggest star of the last decade is David Suazo of Catania in Italian Serie A, formerly at Inter Milan for several seasons and Benfica, who missed heaps of chances in the first half. Starting defender Emilio Izaguirre plays for Celtic in Scotland.

TEMPERATURE TONIGHT IN DALLAS:

Was 32 degrees celcius at kick-off with 50% humidity-

Honiara for the Nations Cup will be same temperature but way more humidity (98% average in June).

Happy with our fitness.  Wasted passes a bit annoying.  Not that worried by our backs against this lot.

After a full Saturday night of rugby and league? Unlikely. If we can't lead the news on a Thursday then I doubt we can on a Sunday

International debut for Payne and McGeorge. The AW'S attack loocked weak in the 2nd half after the substitution of Smeltz

NZ's FIFA ranking will rocket after these two results in Texas (I think they count as away games) to about 99:

Using the ranking calculator on the FIFA website:

http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html

(find NZ on page 5 of ranking table, click on NZ and find calculator at bottom right of page)

Ranking Prognosis Possible Match Points

Current Points 256  Possible Ranking Points 341  M * I * T * C = P

 SLV - NZL2:2 1   1   151   0.865   130.615

 HON - NZL 0:1 3   1   138   0.865   358.11

Depending on other teams' recent results, that would rocket us up to 99 in the world (Guyana currently occupy that position on 341 points).

We''ll advance even further assuming we win the OFC Nations Cup next month...

Glad to see expectations met, Nations cup should be a walk in a park to be honest..

Loving the idea of Smith as captain, even more loving the idea of Reid and Smith at the back. Then there are more ideas I am loving. Loving it all. Love, Love, Love.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I disagree that our lack of attack was due to Smeltz's substitution. I thought Wood did quite well, and it's not as though there were many decent crosses coming in that Smeltz would have got on the end of that other's didn't.

Smeltz might have got that volley that Clapham missed, but that was set up by Wood so arguably wouldn't have been possible if they hadn't been substituted.

You're kidding Azevo.Harry Ngata said it pre-game....as did Big Pete in here.... heat 30 degrees, humidity twice what Texas was, local crowd baying for AW Blood, fatigue with 5 games in 9 days. Tie that in with strength of Solomons right now, Fifa programmes with pacific nations, plus Fiji will fancy themselves and Frank Farina has been working with New Guinea. We'd like to think it, but we should take nothing for granted.

Presumption= moafu's.

One game at a time,Ta.   Go you good things!

No Complacency and good refs in qual tourney should see us through.
