Bell ain’t up to it. Just was out beat player and been subbed.

Hay has to go tbh. We haven’t score in how many games now?

What is going on? Half the team is pressing the other half looks stuffed. Every time we get the ball we look backwards with no one moving for options. Aussie have us on a string

Payne has had a good game but looks pretty stuffed. Maybe Ingham would be a good idea about now.

I don't think Hay will be renewing his contract.

Nice to see Reid acknowledge the crowd as he walked off there…

The pitch is too wet. They even watered it at half time. The surface itself looks fine at the ground

Even though it's a side strain I think the poor pitch might be to blame for Wood's injury. His foot gets a bit stuck in the ground and some mud comes up as he turns his body.

A shame to have such a big crowd and the poor pitch really not helping the quality of the match. Several players have slipped under not much pressure.

That was an Australian attack from a Nz free kick in our own half. Incredible

For all the talk of how great is is having our players cracking the top european leagues. We've completely self-immolated at home against a glorified A-League XI.

It's not even that we are losing... It's the 0 goals in 5 matches (or something like that) since playing the Island teams. We haven't even looked like scoring.

And when we do it's at the keeper

So disappointing. The pitch is trash and Aus were superior in pressing and physical confrontations which kept us on the back foot. We hardly were able to press Aus enough over the game to make them try and play out on the trash pitch.

What a strange nosedive to end danny hays tenure. There was so much hope and promise 4-5 months ago. But possession is all well and good but if there's no goal scoring instinct it's not going to cut it.

Oh well see you all again in 2026 at sky stadium where no doubt we face off against Urugauy in an anticlimactic return home on the back of a 0-4 aggregate after slipping on a banana skin against Tahiti a few months prior

That was very poor.

If my calculations are correct. Against non Island teams we have now gone 566 mins+injury times (so nearly 10 hours... and counting) without a goal from open play. The other goal we scored 6 matches back was a pen against Jordan.

And most (all?) of those matches involved starting with a guy who has 52 goals in the EPL...

Have generally been a Hay fan, but that's not good enough.

That was a pretty average game from what I saw.

We have some good skill but need more experience together. Missing Singh, a forward who can make or take a chance, and someone to help Bell out (thinking Tim Brown or Elliot style).

That is why they are going to the world cup and we are not.

Some really good play by us, we dominated possesion, passes and field position but we can't get it in the net.

Libby was literally carrying the team in the 2nd half showing the huge gulf in class.

Eli Just is a really good wide player.

I think these two games really showed that regular game time is essential as shown by the not so great performances of Joe Bell and Matt Garbett. Our depth is not great in the middle and I think thats what got Aussie over the line.

Still not a fan of 3 at the back, would rather have an extra in the middle and let Staminic drop back for cover if needed.

Oli Sail at GK is not my preferred option at this stage but I'm hoping he grows into it, I seem to get close to a heart attack when he distributes the ball at international level.
