Confidence beats experience...good to watch albeit not finishing.  Like the pace and vision so far.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Why don't Australia and NZ play more often? Only been in NZ for 4 years, but seems like they've hardly played at all in that time. Or am i off on that?

Would be entertaining as hell.

Australia not interested. We don't bring in the fans. They are used to us being their ponies.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

This has been quite an entertaining game thus far. Better than I was expecting from both sides. The Nix have to sign Macca, he is in a class of his own in comparrison to others currently at the Nix, with Riera second.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Chris James has said in an interview recently that he wants to play in Europe, so do we know if he actually would play for the Phoenix if asked?

Finland is hardly in fucking Europe. Certainly in footballing terms it isn't.

Well, like New Zealand is in Oceania, but the other way 'round.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Give this AW team a few more games to come together and they would beat the current Socceroos. IMO.

We can't afford the injuries.

Because not many Australian NT players would make themselves available and make the trip home from abroad (Europe, Middle East).
It would be an A-League Select game at best, or so the wisdom of the Australian 442 website goes.

So that would make an a league selections vs the phoenix pretty much?

So given a choice of McGlinchey or James would us arm chair experts actually chose McGlinchey?

Attacking well but defensive shape looks poor dura having to push to DM in possession and Bill having to tuck in to CB.
Defensive blocks not moving in unison opening up gaps Payne not controlling his space. Looking great on the counter hope we can sneak one and tidy up the back and DM. Great from the young lads not on the Emblin wagon yet.

Agree, we're still a bit disorganised in defence and we don't control possession in an attacking sense, it's generally either a counter or we give it away.  Still need more composure

Maybe feeling the fact that so many of our players are unatached, well and truly off season, or returned from injury?

It's an evolving centre back combo. Overall pass mark. Obviously lots of scope for more polish though.

Has the awesomely boring commentator actually mentioned many of their player's names? It's like he is avoiding having to pronounce them.

I'm just not convinced by either of them at this level - I think it has a lot of evolving to do...

Chris James must be a Nut-Puncher level cock for the Nix not to want him. On thr other hand, Payne has looked his age. And experience.

If it was a Brockie for Boyd swap - then maybe. But with Hicks and Musa?
