Bell and Just are way off it. They shouldn’t be getting the minutes they currently do.

You mean the guys who’ve been doing all the work? They’ve been immense!

You mean constantly losing the ball? Yeah they’ve been sh!te.

stop commenting on Fifa rankings. if we were in UEFA we would be around 50-60 consistently.

Piss off. We’re 1-1 against Colombia and our midfield workhorses have been poor? Bigger tele mate.

NZ couldn’t beat Lithuania a couple of years ago, and never beaten a European team before, it’s a pointless conversation to have anyway, as we’re not in Europe and who knows, if we were in Europe we might be a football nation instead of a rugby one

I'm saying the fifa rankings don't mean anything. Belgium couldn't even beat Kazakhstan today.

Fudge me. Worked so hard to get back to 1-1, then concede a soft goal like that. 😮‍💨

Storm Roux shouldn't be on the park let alone in the squad.

We’re tiring.

Not sure if this was directed at the All whites or at the quality of (some of the) comments on this thread :)

I know, I know, its serious!

I agree. Part of me thinks it’s a narrative NZ media uses to indicate the underdog status in the world game, no other country obssesss about ranking as much

So frustrating in the end, just really lack that full 90 minutes of game management and focus needed to play against those top sides.. you can’t concede soft goal right in the beginning and in the end like that..unfortunately good performances like this will not mean very much if they keep losing close games in the World Cup, I am sure DB will take some positives but end of the day a good results is what we’re after 😞

Great effort guys. Bring on Ecuador

We were more then good enough for a draw here.

Its time we stop accepting losses, were not shark anymore.

We should be expecting the team to aim for a draw or a win every time they play now.

If you’re happy with us putting in a great effort but ultimately not making the playoffs in the WC then sure, I guess 🤷‍♂️

What a bugger conceding that goal, I thought it was going to be a whitewash after 3 minutes into the game.
Randall made an impact and so did Old
The boys did not disgrace themselves when playing a team ranked so much higher.
Lessons will be learnt, looking forward to the next game now
16 Nov 02:31
We need to stop conceding these soft goals but even if we weren’t perfect we played pretty darn well against one of the best teams in the world.

Really good to see the NT starting to get some depth. Fingers crossed that we have all our guns available for the WC
16 Nov 02:32
Disappointing, but a good effort. We have a very good team, some of our players should be playing in top leagues imo (I.e. Garbett, Just, maybe even Randall eventually).

I think we need to be a bit more ruthless with our selections though. I don’t like to name names, but I think some players need better club form before playing.

16 Nov 02:33
We've been playing quite well in North America of late. A draw with the USA, beating Ivory Coast plus what should have been a draw today.

Considering the crowd and done if the calls- they couldn’t buy a yellow, 3-4 handy calls on throws and tackles went against us at least- Randall’s being one that would have been interesting, we’ve challenged well. But we need to start finding ways to go past that.

I don’t think we offered much from corners and set pieces today. Looking at Garbett, Singh, Just, Randall, Tuiloma and Bell even of late we could have perhaps tried working some distance shots. Perhaps we could have mixed that up.

I thought Bell was everywhere, in every challenge, being available for the pass.

Gutted to end with a soft goal like that. Lots of very relieved Colombians!

16 Nov 02:36
Was looking forward to Singh being able to say to Diaz ‘Everyone’s played a few games for Bayern , mate!’

Why not name names?

There were at least 3 players out there today who shouldn't have been in the squad, let alone on the field.

Not a bad watch and I think we were better here in our midfield and attack then in our recent European tour.

I don’t mind dropping results here in the last 5 minutes but it would be gutting in the World Cup.

There we can’t have such switch offs.

Auckland will rise once more

Problem with Bell is that while he's everywhere, he only passes backwards and often not to the man.

Staminec was our MoM today, all over the rear of midfield dictating play. He should be in the Prem, not Championship.

I try to not be critical of players, because many of them read social media comments, and it’s easy for a guy like me to critique from the sidelines.

But I guess the flip side is it’s professional sport and it is a cut-throat environment.

If I was forced to name names, I’d say Wayne and Tuiloma maybe need to find more consistent club form, which I’m sure they can do.
16 Nov 02:40
The boys should be proud of their work. Created chances to win it. Singh and Bell were immense, as were Boxall and Surman.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
