Agree it was not good that they did not  twig something was up or chose to ignore it. But all other commentary talked up NZ dominance and that Fiji were relying on counter attack.  Maybe their replays in the commentary "room" are not the best. Watched Glen Larmer trying to commentate at newtown park in SSP and all he had was a 15 inch monitor with no production support. So good luck I guess.

Woodsy! Not as good as his pen for Leeds the other day but good to know we have someone who knows how to score from a pen.

Wow, that was a soft penalty. Suppose the ref had a good view. Slowed it right down on the telly, but didn't look as clearcut.

Chris Wood carrying on his golden form, was he ever going to miss?

that was always likely to happen, their gk is horrendous

Starting Tuimola over Thomas?  Apparently starting every week in the Eredivisie isn't good enough to start in the NZ midfield, what we really need is players from the 4th French division?

They're hardly similar players though. Tuiloma is a DM/FB and Thomas is a winger.

Impeccably timed post. Incredible!

I think we have dominated generally and Fiji only look dangerous on the counter... I don't mind the crossing looking for Wood, he's a great target especially when we up picking up the clearences, But the quality of crosses could be a lot better, a lot have been over hit.

ouch. Remember he had a stunning save in first half from Lewis piledrover.  And claimed plenty of ball under pressure from Wood

Yes  he's the Fiji FA technical director. Good analysis about what Fiji need to try but realustic not gonna happen

At least it was in colour. Well. Black and white uniforms. But that's where the 1975 coverage ended in terms of spectator value. C'mon whites. Away goals.

Good to control the game for most parts and keep them quiet. Disappointing both of our goals were gifts and we didn't really create much at all. Seems to be a common theme despite having the best forward line in probably 15-20 years. Lots of floated, aimless crosses that led to nothing.

He recently came back from a long term injury.

We certainly deserved to win but we did not play well at all. I'll take the two away goals.

Atleast it wasn't an ugly win which is what normally gets served when watching an All Whites game. Dominated possession just not enough chances created. I don't think Tuiloma is up to being the fulcrum in midfield role just yet, he's good but need someone more dominant. Maybe Themi could move there during the Confeds. Its a shame TAHW got injured he looked the goods for ACFC in that type of role.

Just watched the game and god the crossing. Have they not seen Chris Wood play this year? Along the ground to his feet!

A win is a win and now the team only need 1 point. Surely they can get that here. Be nice to see them get a roll going. Woods is having an exceptional season and at this rate Leeds could well be in the EPL next year with him leading their front line. Good on the lad

Yep, that's pretty much how I feel.  Dominating, without ever really looking threatening.
