That said- I find McCowatt a confusing player and Rogerson, a player who plays with a simple almost elegant game, seems like he could be equally handy.

I need McCowatt and his game explained to me, because I don’t quite understand all the things he does. Looking at Kosta, Just, Randall, Garbett or Singh I know I’ve seen them have a good game. McCowatt, I’m not sure! I’ve definitely seen him do good things, but he must be doing other things I don’t understand because he certainly scores plenty in the league and he keeps getting selected. Is it his defense or pressing? What am I missing?

McCowatt as a winger isnt a good option, he played more centrally against Chile and seemed to be more involved - still not what I'd expect from a #10, if/when Singh is fit McCowatt loses his spot for mine.

I thought McCowatt was very involved with the play last night. Made a couple of good passes, pressed hard, made runs to draw defenders and create space for Bell's passing.

I agree that the reason we may not always notice him is because of what he is doing off the ball.  I am just as guilty of not noticing his contribuion as the next guy.

Definitely we were saying Just didn’t have a good game the other day- but against Chile he made a run and Bell saw him and found him. Result: goal.

Perhaps Callum is a bit in this camp?
