My thoughts exactly, its a bit amateurish from us to expect these things to be ignored....its not social footie and there are rules and expectations regardless of it being a friendly.
I wonder if there may be any backlash from playing a player not on the teamsheet in another players shirt just to get him on....

first top flight international side we've played that have had their full first team out playing for it

We have warm-up games for a reason. I'm happy with the lesson learned and being learned today.
vs. Australia - don't fall asleep; game isn't over until the ref says.
vs. Slovakia - holding onto an early lead and maintaining it to win
vs. Slovenia - keeping focus (or losing it) in the face of dirty decisions that put us on the back foot. Staying strong in the face of adversity. Taking (and missing) chances.
