I've just never heard a positive thing from you.  I don't know how dictatorships comes into this at all. 

Add to that there's no Kiwi who I'd trust in charge of the All Whites who I know of bar Ricki Herbert and NZF don't have the money to throw at foreign coaches.

I don't call for someone to be baned because they think last season was a good result, or Ricki is a good coach.

He should have said, IT WAS A CRAP PROFORMANCE AND I BEING THE COACH ARE RESPONSIBLE. The key word is responsible and the avoidance of it is a plague.
I think NZ football should get its s**t together. I don't think Herbert is good enough.
I don't think money should be "thrown" at anybody.
I'm sure we could find a better coach for the same money. We just arn't looking.

I totaly agree.Interesting that Herbert is the only born coach in 50 years.Maybe we should give nz coaches 50 more years to prove they are good enough.

  unfortunately you have exposed your lack of knowledge or you are being vindictive against a person who has resurrected football in NZ. We are very fortunate to have at last a NZ coach who at least has the passion and desire to strive to be successfull. We have for to long expected foreign no hopers to achieve or drive our game forward. U must be a foreign supporter with no vision or understanding of the future of NZ Football.

This is the best chance the AW's have of making the world cup since 82, And they (NZF) gave the job to a local with F#$K all experience.
It almost worked for Australia when Frank Farina coach the socceroos to a 1st Victory over Uruguay.
Heres a FACT for the faithful haters.....David O'Leary put his hand up to coach NZ.

As expected, a lack of knowledge and exposed by suggesting oleary as he has been nothing but a disaster in teams coached. Must be another english nob.

Simply put, I think, we (NZ) have big problems.
Thinking as a little self protecting island won't do any good.
Does it really matter where the coach comes from?

England and Ireland have foreign coaches. I agree, some of these guys know nothing about the game.

As a Leeds fan, he actually produced the best results the club had had in many years (barring winning the final season of the old Division 1).

When was he keen to take over?
He would have been a brilliant acquisition for NZ Football.

The All Whites ranking always has peaks and troughs due to WCQ against the Island nations which doesn't really give us a chance to measure our true standard. We basically just don't get enough playing time together as a nation. At least since Ricki's arrival we have had more international games against non-island nations than in the past, don't know whether he influenced that or not.

I am just glad we have a lot of games against a range of teams and standards. Then we will really be able to see where we fit in terms of world football.

Potentially we could lose the next 6 build up games to the WCQ home and away matches. We should be able to get a result against Tanzania and Botswana, but it wouldn't be out of this world if we didn't. Luckily they haven't had too much game time together recently either.

What we will get out of those games is playing time together and experience in hot conditions. It at least will mean we have a had a decent enough build up to give us a fairer chance against the asian team in the playoff. In saying that though, we will still not be favourites and will need a bit of football luck on our side.


If we build it, they will come...
