Cheap as and direct. Set up for games.

Unless I'm doing something wrong I couldn't work out a bus from Nelspruit-Polokwane.

Na i think you're right, only going to Polokwane from Joburg, Pretoria or the airport.
Try Greyhound (another bus service)

Hey guys - I'm a Scot based in Christchurch and I'll be in SA from June 19-July 12. I have tickets for the Italy and Paraguay group games, plus 3 other group games and 10 knockout matches.

I'm basing myself in Jo'burg for the first week and getting the match day buses (as sold on strictlytickets.com) for the All-Whites matches.

Are most other Kiwis travelling in from the big cities on the day, or are there a few that are staying in Polokwane/Nelspruit? It would be great to have a few beers with the other All-Whites fans.

Just found this thread DOH!!!!

We have a group of 4 going on a DIY....14 matches in 17 days....plus a kruger Park tour the day after our 0-0 draw with Italy....;-)

I've sorted our whole tour out so if you need any advice feel free to message me on here. If flights are still a prob there is a VAustralia (virgin) flight direct from Melbourne to Joburg twice a week.

We have hired cars for much of the trip - I spent so much time looking for buses & trains in the end I just gave up....

also I have some spare tickets to sell - Oz v Serbia in Nelspruit - (3 days after us and the day before we play in Polokwane) plus 3 tickets for all our matches

I guess my only concern is that the last two emails i have sent to the B&B i am staying in, in Sandton have been unanswered.....

Probably should have thought about posting here earlier....

Booked all my flights and accom etc as soon as the draw was made and purchased my tickets to NZs 3 pool games. Never thought all of my mates would bail on me though :)

Anyway.. I am travelling on my own,  basing myself in Pretoria between games and I have a rather small hire car and very little luggage. If anyone needs assistance in transport then I am quite happy to help.. The more the merrier....

Late notice and all .. but it would be great to catch up up with the AW supporters.... gonna be a small but very vocal crowd...

davybhoy !

Would love a ticket to our Polokwane game!!

I wanted to get on the original Fever tour last year but couldn't come up with the deposit *sigh* at that time so gave up on the whole idea (depressingly) & just booked ann leave holidays to watch the WC on the box

It dawned on me 3 weeks ago that I owed "the man" bills (Electricity, iPhone, Broadband, Landline, Bondi Courthouse, Foxtel, NSW Car Rego) to a total of $2000 & I would need to borrow from my bank to cover all this sh*t so I thought "f**k it, maybe I can borrow enough to get to the last 2 games for OUR WC?" so I looked up the net & found the oh so cheap V-Aus flights.

Well the bank loan came through yesterday!!!! wOOt !!
Flights booked, Nelspruit Accom booked (Tent LOL!) Oz v Serb tickets bought.
I "think" I'm sorted for Italy V NZ....
but if you can help with Polokwane...?

GUTTED....wouldve been grand if you'd posted on here earlier! I'm pretty sussed now and leave this coming Monday so aren't really keen to modify any further my current plans that have been modified a hundred x over already, but if you're keen to exchange contact details for when we are in SA then Private Message me. You're more than welcome to join us for some pre/post match partying etc if it works out....A fellow All Whites Supporter is a friend of mine, especially one that was bailed on like myself :o( Join the club, we are upto 3 now :D

Also, I know a couple of people needing a lift from Jo-burg to Rustenburg for the NZ vs Slovakia match, so I've emailed one of them a link to your post....hopefully they will get in touch with ya :o)

If we don't catch up for a drink, have the time of your life!!! You'll meet dozens of kind and like minded people on your travels, it probably won't even feel like you are on your own!!!

Cheers

Hi All,

Quit work last week, and have decided on a last minute trip to catch NZ's first 2 matches, 14-21 June...

Current plan is to head to PE to stay with a friend in between matches.  Currently in the process of organising but could use any tips / help on:

1. Accom in Rustenburg 15 June
2. Accom in Nelspruit 20 June
3. Anyone driving Jo'burg or Pretoria to Nelspruit on 18/19 June
4. Anyone driving Nelspruit to Jo'burg 21 June

Happy to pay / share costs etc, and any help greatly appreciated - accom on game days in particular looking tough so spare pieces of floor etc would be welcome!

I'm a 32 yr old Kiwi guy, living in London.  Have a bit of free time, and the World Cup is too good an opportunity to miss!

Thanks for your help
Dave

Hi guys

Guess we're all coming out of the woodwork at the same time.  I am travelling with my GF, we're 29 yos from London and if anyone does have any spare room on the following journeys then I would be more than happy to help with costs

Jo'berg - Rustenberg for the first NZ match

Jo'berg to Nelspruit on 20th

Nelspruit to Polokwane on 24th

I still have 2 spare tickets to Aussi v Serbia in Nelspruit on the 23rd if anyone is interested.  Obviously we'll hve to liaise closer to the time but one dedicated pub in each city for a meet up pre-and post each match.

Sorry guys, can't help with accomodation.

Cheers

Hi all,

I've got myself and 2 other mates heading over. Ages 22/23/28.

Are plans are pretty fixed and we've got a lot of duties to fulfill, IE keeping those happy who're hooking us up so we can't really link up too much.

However you can PM me on here, or email me brumbys@gmail.com if you want to catch up pre or post games.

We'll be at both 1/4s in Jo Burg, Argentinas R16 in Jo Burg, England v Algeria in Capetown and NZ's group games of course!!!

Then there's always the chance we come 2nd in our group and then we'll be at a couple more!

We've just touched down in Cape Town today (the 7th), and are very keen to meet up with some fellow kiwis!

We are hiring a car out of Rustenburg on the 20th, and heading to Nelspruit, Kruger (3 day safari), Polokwane and back to Pretoria, we are definitely keen for a convoy.

We will also most likely have two spare seats so if anyone is keen to jump in on that, that would be awesome.

Has anyone seen the deal ?Williments have jacked up for before match partying in each of our three venues? http://www.nzfootball.co.nz/index.php?id=737

After the tour my girlfriend and I (27 & the same) will be in Durban for the r16 match (likely Netherlands and...2nd from our pool, take your pick), from the 27th June to 1 July.

We're back in Joburg from the 1st til the 4th for the quarter finals, keen to meet up with anyone going to any of them or people in the area looking to share a few pints, and maybe do some sightseeing, hanging in town squares in front of those big screens.  PM me or reply if you're around then.
