Extra Seating?

There can only be 4000 or so extra seats; adding just over 10% to the size of the crowd.

Well actually, I would say those of us who got in early are bigger fans than those who waited for the result of the first leg.

That's just my opinion though, call me crazy.

Edit: I should stress that I am not trying to vilify the thread author here, you are clearly the exception to the rule due to some horrible circumstances and I wish you all the best.

Ive said before, people cant always afford to pay money on a dead rubber. They could be the most hardcore football fan in the world, and still not be going if they couldnt afford it and we lost 4-0 in the first leg anyway.

$80 is a lot of money for some,to spend on watching the AWs get another 4-0 hiding (talking possible result,pre-first leg).

Allegedly

Pretty pleased that my general rule of getting tickets on day 1 for every event I ever want to go to has paid off here!

We sat in the 'extra' seats during the last Lions tour. They are certainly close to the pitch but very low to the ground and do not give a great overview.

Making them available for more $$$ (substantially more) is one option but although atmospheric, the extra $$$ would be hard to justify in terms of the view the people will get.
Also, I would feel for the people who have booked for the first row of the main seating, who would end up sitting behind other people.

So sorry to be a spoilsport but I say no to the extra seating .. keep the ground as it is and let the game begin!!!

I was also at the lions game in the temporary seats and had a great time.  For me it was all about being at the game which i would not have been able to do if they weren't in place.

I reckon they should be installed even if people have to pay slightly more for their seat.  The more people who can attend the better

radio sport interveriew with football union said they will talk with stadium about temp seating. FIFA rules about secuirity will apply so there's still hope in getting temp seats. watch this space..

Not saying we didn't have a great time, just MHO that they are not seats which you could necessarily charge a premium for.

And what about the people sitting behind??

I reckon they should just rope off the pitch and the subs bench, and let the masses stand in those big empty spaces between the pitch and the stands.

It'll be just like watching Capital Premier (just with no Feverish providing the obligatory red mist moment).

Where are you getting $80 from?

Someone could have quite easily bought a ticket for $29 before the first leg happened.

This is farken fantastic. Wow. Did anyone in their wildest dreams ever thought we could get a 40,000 crowd for this game?

I know I didn't. Still pinching myself (in an entirley un-erotic kind of way, I might add).

They should pre-sell the additional seats, up to a max of say, 5000. This way, NZF and Caketin Manangement can install the no. of temp seats required.

Thos emissing out shoudl camp outside teh Caketin and have few giant screens installed for them. This way, we end up with another 20,000 people outside the caketin.

So it's 2 people spending $39 each, which is entirely different than 1 person spending $80.
