That's just my opinion though, call me crazy.
Edit: I should stress that I am not trying to vilify the thread author here, you are clearly the exception to the rule due to some horrible circumstances and I wish you all the best.

Yeah, this baiting of people who didn't get their tickets early is pretty crap.
Does it make them less hardcore than those who bought on day one? Yes.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
During the preliminary competition, the relevant host association is responsible for the ticketing. It shall set aside an appropriate number to be fixed by mutual agreement of complimentary and purchasable tickets for the visiting association. At least five representatives from the visiting association shall be seated in the VIP box. The host association shall, upon request and free of charge, provide FIFA with 10 (ten) VIP box tickets and up to 40 (forty) category 1 tickets for each match. Such tickets shall be provided to FIFA at least 30 days before the match.

Was there any restriction on who bought those tickets in the Bahrani bay?

There are a Myriad of reasons people don't have a ticket Steve-O.
This isn't directed at you, but while it can be 'fun' to act smug whilst holding your tickets for a bit, it is not very helpful.

In the past a short turnaround has been because the decision on who is in the play-offs hasn't been made until late. Seeing as it was done with plenty of time to spare there was no need to rush it through in 3 days, particularly with the travel between Bahrain and New Zealand no simple task.
They just split it across two international weekends which logically it should always be if timelines allow.

The All Black test matches in Wellington weren't sold out a month out from kick off.
Agressive Advertising, hype - these things in the past may have, in some way tricked some people who have been looking after the pennies in these times - waiting until they have the money before taking a 20% P/A hit on their credit card to book some tickets.
I think most people thought that this game would be 90% full to a sell out. I don't think anyone who isn't in the inner circle of football fans in this country could have predicted such a demand for tickets.
It is a wonderful thing to see, but I do feel for those who will miss out.
