Korea up 2-0 at the half over England, well deserved.

Nigeria vs Brazil 1-1 in the other match.

Earlier the states snuck through as 2nd qualifiers behind Japan after France held them to the draw.  The Japanese scored another truckload against Paraguay.

Korea look a different team.  Just hit the crossbar !

are they contenders or have they been playing chumps?

They beat the States who were one of the favourites and France qualified ahead of the Danes and England so you have to think they aren't/weren't rubbish.

I'd say they'd be contenders for sure, very skillful and fit. Be interesting to see them go up against a physical side such as Germany as the one thing they lack is size, that being said they beat the USA who are quite physical reasonably easily.

Korea 3-0, and at almost the same moment a stunning free kick put's Brazil up 2-1.

If you get the chance catch the Brazilian goal.

Nigeria 2-2.

Two best matches were in Christchurch today (not that I know anything about the other games).  9 goals in the Japan-Paraguay match (7-2 to Japan), while Nigeria vs Brazil ended 2-2 with some good play and an amazing second Brazillian goal.

Hoping Denmark win this one.  If they make the semi-final in Christchurch (which they should as they face N. Korea in the quarters) I'm going to get a Viking helmet, Danish flag, and paint my face and stomach red and white.

sound like great matches- but Nzl 3-Colombia 1 takes a lot of beating!
