Impressive result... what is the age group for this comp, U15?s

Either way this Max Mata boy must be pretty impressive for his age (12 or 13) having top scored with Liam Jordan who by all accounts is a very decent young player.

Have seen some of the finals (in Manchester) from the teams from all over the world and it is very impressive. Just to be there will be great for this NZ team.

Good on them.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Be a bit of a letdown if they are on in Aussie to coincide with off season tour (as they were for China last year).

It was in China last year because of the clash with the Olympics in the UK

Just watched this. They look like good kids. Quite smart and intelligent in their responses for their ages. Wish them all the best in their footballing futures.. if a couple of Maori kids can become top footballers in the future, it would be great for the sport in New Zealand and would hopefully result in a bit of a change of attitude towards football in this country.

Link for watching online should be up soon - I will post when it becomes available.

My son played against Max a few weeks ago so I got a good look at his game - he's quality. Defo right up there for his age. Hope he kicks on as we need to see more Maori and Pacific players in the game to help grow it in the future.

Despite a 4-0 loss to Internacional, the team achieved a 1-1 draw against Arsenal later in the day...that's a massive result, especially given that Wynrs facebook page saying Arsenal are current England U15 Champions.

Goal was scored by Max Mata - awesome work from a quality young player.
