That was fun, mostly. Easy from the touchline but I thought we
could have done a bit better. Few more goals and kept a clean
sheet. Bertos was sound wasn't he?
Tim Brown getting sent off was plain daft.
Overall I thought the team had a bit of poise about it.
Crowd was a bit of a laugh. Decent, if a times daft banter!! The visa stuff cracked me up...

Voted for Smeltz because I was a half-second away from getting his

Lost the ball in the midfield, they got on a 3 to 2 break, squared it to the unmarked striker on our right who got a 1 on 1 with Paston (someone tried to challenge the striker but failed, can't remember who it was), and gently touched it over him into the bottom right corner.

I thought there was a general lack of cohesion going forward.
Bertos looked good and took players on well, so did Smeltz, but at
times it looked a bit naive and lacking in structure.

Smeltz and Bertos were the best players for me. Vicelich was
impressive too. Mulligan got 2 good goals but he gave the ball away
quite often.
Christie was the worst.
Impressed with Jarrod Smith when he came on too.

Bertos and Smeltz were all class.
Thought Tim Brown was superb too, until he got sent
off...
Also impressed with Mulligan. He gave the ball away a bit but
some of his passing was superb, particulary his balls out to Bertos
on the flank in the second half.

Brown let his team down, to me no captain should be sent off for
decent, OK his first yellow wasn't a good decision by the referee,
but Brown had got hot headed a couple of times during the game,
throwing his arms in the air , shaking his head etc. as captain he
has to rise above that and be a leader, and yes he didn't play to
badly

Has to be Ivan for me. He was solid at the back, calmed things
down, distributed well, broke up attacks and his leadership was 10
fold to Browns.
Leo was also in good form but took a few wrong options and
wanted 4 or 5 touches in the box when at that level you really only
get one or two.
A bit disappointed in Brown, gave the ball away a bit and
although the ref was average at best all he seemed to do was whine
in his general direction most of the match.

I thought it funny that it took the collective us about 30
minutes to notice the change. It changed about half way through the
first half. Then about 10 minutes into the second half young DKP (I
believe I have the name and person correctly matched) finally
noticed the correction and started a "we're not Taiwan" anymore
chant.
The TAW was supposed to represent Thai Airways All Whites.
Whilst it's good that NZF are getting some money in, I think it
sucks that NZ's national team are now being names after Thailand's
national airline.... what is this, the America's Cup or something
(as I indeed remarked at the game).
