Aussies caught out cheating!

England met Australia in the tournament final, with the game finishing 2-2 after regulation time and resulting in a penalty shootout to decide the winner.

The Australians won the shootout, which included a controversial referee call – the English goalkeeper was shown a second yellow card for being off his line.

Sharp eyes had noted that an ineligible player took to the pitch for the Australians – he had earned himself too many yellow cards during the tournament – and at the gala dinner later that evening the tournament trophy was awarded to last year’s winners, England.
