Why has Sargent been able to drop into the pocket all game without been tracked? He's their danger man and we keep letting him get the ball and turn towards goal

Ref falls for dives - well theirs anyway.... we are going a teeny bit better in attack at least.

Singh on now

Bevan is a cock

Kotahitanga. We are one.

Oh dare.

I blame Beasley... the way he set this team up from the start was wrong with Billingsley. He basically said to the team, we aren't here to play, but survive and pinch a result.

oh my, understand Singh coming on, but our best defender off? Liddiciat should've come off, he's been a turnstile all night

nothing to lose now. What are we playing? 235?

Oh. Game over

We deserved that, playing long then sitting back and defending at the top of our box. Not sure what our tactics are, whether we haven't implemented the game plan or the game plan is just terrible.

Fuck this stupid game

guess it had to happen. Oh no. That sucks. They aren't that good ffs.

You are right. Liddicote aint up to it, and Mcgarry aint a left back

Does Beasley understand formations? Why would he sub off our best defender? And why did Sarpreet Singh not start?

This is the attitude that's wrong and all too persistent with New Zealand coaching.

McGarry is not a left back - he has been very poor tonight

But we got through to the second round so expect him to stay for the next tournament... only saving grace is he wont be able to pick Billingsley again

Rogerson easily the most comfortable on the ball in team.

Don't quite agree. Never knows what to do with it. His only move is to run into a blind alley

Singh is so much better than what we had on... simple one touch stuff there in the corner and we work a shot

Yep. Singh actually looks like he wants the ball.

How do you get a free header in the box?

Permalink Permalink
almost 9 years ago · edited almost 9 years ago · History

That is a shocker from Woud. (and the defence)

4 fudgeing defenders v one striker and the striker gets a free header! wow

Permalink Permalink

Ashworth would have cleared that - that was poor!  Not the best effort from Woud on that one either unfortunately

Permalink Permalink

a little harsh, he did well to block the intial header, just spun back in. he was never going to get down to it.

Permalink Permalink

just embarrassing now.

Permalink Permalink

but where the fudge was the man on the post. Set up for corners properly.

Have to remember US are missing a lot of their first 11 through suspensions too..

Agree we didn't come to play which is a real shame and the coaching staff should cop it for that. Also agree that all Roberson does is run it straight. If he can't run he gets caught on the ball and loses it. Can't think of many positives at all from this game. Some shark attitudes from players out there as well. Which is why many of them won't become professionals

Fuck this stupid game

There's no way they're that much better than France. Pity for Woud as he has done really well.
