Hour and a half to go, fire up! Best team we’ve ever had in the comp and we finally have some international footy to watch

I take it the games are being shown on Sky Sports? There on FTA in Australia on SBS also Optus has it.

So excited I haven't even been to sleep yet! Half an hour to go, must say that is one decent looking lineup as well.

What an oggie! 1-0 NZ!

Get in!!!! 1-0, 8 minutes gone. All New Zealand so far, the team’s unrecognisable in the best possible way. Squint and you’d think we’re Barca

Shoupd be about 3-0 so far. Our attack is phenomenal but a few good saves

Pretty god damned impressive start so far. Should have been 2-0 with Singh through on goal. Shortpassing been excellent and we're quick to move forward fown both flanks. Excellent start!

This guy Diego’s having a fudgeing mare. Own goal, couple big fouls, and playing Waine onside for the third goal. Hope his family aren’t watching

Holy hotdogs, 3-0

Think the Phoenix should be offering Waine a contract. That's composure and a bit of class on the finish.

McCowatt in a heavy challenge just now, could hear the screams in pain hope he's alright

Looks alright, bet it'll be sore tomorrow. Agree on Waine, was great in the build up for the last play too.

Think Honduras have got their tactics seriously wrong here as well. Having a back three but everytime we have the ball we're racing up both flanks with little resistance. Still a treat to watch though.

Can anyone else see Honduras putting in some niggly/ugly fouls if this game becomes even more of a blowout?

OK so sometimes scores at age group games are a bit out of it because teams can be rubbish but then sometimes teams are not whats expected because teams have quality players. This NZ side looks like its got some actual quality, not our usual kick and rush. Lovely.

Gladd to make the effort to get up this early, that 1st half was a fun watch.

Best 45 minutes of football from a NZ team I’ve ever seen. Can they keep it going.

yes they can

4-0. Holy shark. Worth every goal

Thankfully these kids don’t know how to play ‘kick and rush’. Their whole lives this group have played football.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

There are a long list of coaches around the country who have contributed to these players development from the age of 5 onwards who should be feeling good about their little cog in the machine here.

Was dumb but clearly an accident.

Lucky son. Yellow only. Mistimed, but have seen those given straight reds before.

Probably just my nervy feeling surrounding VAR though.

Wow...that was amazing. Kiwi boys playing like Barcelona!!!!!

So much skill and composure on display. We have a really talented bunch of youngsters coming through. Cacace was top for me...left backs are in global short supply. He will have quite a few scouts watching him with interest. Singh was excellent as well.

But would really stood out for me was the composure. They played some really good football. On attack they rarely just lumped it into the box. The wide ball was often recycled across as they built again. The Nix could be 100% local kiwis one day.

Wilkins very lucky to avoid a VAR red.....ref gave him the benefit of doubt.
