That was just awful football. I have seen no indication in any games that Hudson has been in charge that we will see any form of intelligent football being played. Hudson to me looks like just another British coach feeding us the same old tired and hopeless British way of playing. 

To be fair, on a pitch that bouncy, with PNG throwing their weight around and putting the ball in the air at every opportunity, there wasn't much scope for being pretty.

So much for high-pressing, short-passing football.

Frankly, I don't care though. Any game in one of these OFC tournaments is a potential banana skin so I'm just happy we took the points. I'd rather we ground out wins playing like a social masters team than lost games playing like Spain c.2010

The ref was hardly helping either. There should have been at least 3 yellows in the 25mins I saw not given. Terrible pitch, terrible ref and terrible conditions (heat).

Pretty football was never an option.

I was beginning to feel that if a PNG player threw a punch he'd get away with it.
