asked this in another thread - but wonder if James/Oughton etc will come back for this game?

Doubt their clubs would let them.  Even if they are unused at the moment, they still have an obligation to be with their club.  Plus imagine if they got bobsledded by some donkey like Mulligan.

I got the ticketek (or master?) email, tickets were very reasonably priced.  Sell it out, Auckland...!

lol

I still wouldn't be surprised if it's not even half full, typical Auckland football crowd, in fact I'd be very shocked to see more than 10000 people?

The press said a few days ago that Russell Kamo is the only Canty player in the squad. thats about all I've found (unless i've had a senior moment and missed something)

Otago Daily Times reported Coburn had been selected a few days back.

I don't know anything about it but I'd understand if the players were all Auckland-based just to keep cost down.

I think you're right, Smithy. I couldn't find another reason that Tommy Lancaster isn't in the squad.

It's called size or lack of it. Still not a good reason though.
Seems that some people don't know that a certain M. Platini was almost kicked out of a club for being too small, it took a retired Reims coach to tell another club to think again.
Motto. lack of size in midfield needs to be balanced with some height by other players.
If it's correct and Kamo gets a run he can batter into the Aw's help get them ready for the tough games.
Don't hold your breath for too many players not Auckland based, team being picked by Aucks.

I think that has to do with cost and convenience though, not some anti-south island bias.

Ricki said Brockie will start this game. And Mulligan could be a starter in the middle, he wanked on a lot about mully and hinted a lot at him making the world cup squad

Just a question: my tickets for this game are "Venue Pickup". Can I pick them up on the day, or do I have to get out to Albany before then to get them?

Who's Lancaster trialling with over in England?  He's a great player, I hope he could pick up something at least in League 1.

His first pick would be Sheffield Wednesday - who, coincidentally after yesterday's draw with Palace, are now a League 1 club.

Really ?

I count 10.  Not that there is a problem with there being 10.

Good call for George B.  Hope he pulls out what those of who watch him regularly know he is capable of.

On second glance, I count 8: 2 TWs, 2 Cantabs, 2 Manawatu, 1 each from Otago and HB.

I would call this a test for Auckland to see if they can support Football.
