Question: Is Four Kings near the Railway station (we will be staying near there) and will they be doing a (late) breakfast on Sunday morning?

Yes, you can walk from anywhere to anywhere in Wellington, as google maps would easily tell you.  In fact, Google could answer about 99% of the questions you have asked...

Edit: not near, 2nd best?  Is near defined as the walk between the RoF & the backbencher?

In that respect "Google" could answer about 99% of any questions ever asked on forums.

There's one thing that computers won't be able to do for a long time and that's called local knowledge.

But anyway, I don't mind a bit of walk on Sunday - does anyone know if they generally open on Sunday mornings for breakfast or if they will be open on the 15th for this?

Would love to continue to celebrations with like-minded, or have a safe place to cry.

As a gesture of goodwill to out of towners arriving on the day.  I am quite prepared to organise tickets for you.  PM me so I can provide you with my bank account details so you can deposit enough money to cover the 4 drinks required for your ticket which I will have on your behalf in the days required.

I'd say I can accomodate 6 'ticket's per day but as I expect demand to be strong, you may wish to guarantee your place by depositing an extra $20 for a plate of buffalo wings.

Its a stamp 4 card. You will need to buy 4 drinks between Wednesday and Saturday to get the ticket. Tickets will be limited to about 500 and im expecting a big turn out when we win.

Won't get to Welly until Friday arvo, by which time I guess the 500 tickets will be taken. Can I, as an out-of-towner, finance someone to drink 4 pints for me on the Wednesday?

I will happily do this for you as I finish exams on wednesday and huge celebration is called for. PM me if you're not taking the piss. If any other out of towners are keen for me to get them a ticket feel free to PM me also. Am considering camping out at the Kings wed til sun. Hope you don't mind Big dunc

A slight change of plans for Saturday. The Team has decided to have a low key aftermatch so wont be holding an 'officia'l event at Four Kings although we hope to host them later on in the evening.
This will mean that we can have another 300 tickets into the event available as downstairs will now be open to the public.

Cheers

So the team isn't holding a MASSIVE VICTORY CELEBRATION after all?

I propose the following movements be officially adopted, as inspired by yellowfever friends on this forum:

1. Women wear white bra for shirts off in the last 10mins.

2. We all turn out for a festival sunday wearing white, including white santa beards.

This would make me very happy.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Shame the AWs have canned the official function, IF things go as planned on the night of the 14th it would be good to get a chance to celebrate with the whole team before they all go back their seperate ways. Hopefully they end up at the Kings to celebrate with the fans.

In saying that though I cant imagine the stadium emptying out at any great speed should the result  go our way

The team wont be having an official function at the bar but its not to say that they wont be coming back. I would imagine that you will be able to rub shoulders with some of the team at the party.

Four Kings will be the hub on fri/sat of all things football. Not when Freestyle Football is on obviously (12-2.20 at QW) and there will be the Fever/Four Kings bus running between Kings and Queens Wharf and Newtown Pk and BB and Stadium (timetable to be posted some soon).

Magic. Free beer on bigdunc when we qualify (gags)

Hi team,

Four Kings is the official bar of New Zealand Football for the big weekend.

As well as Fridays Audience with Wynton, Saturday will also be huge. As New Zealand Footballs official bar we will be hosting a street party on Inglewood place including a stage, live music and big screen outside to replay the game for those who are going or live for those who arn't.
There will be a free bus taking football fans around the city from the civic square freestyle competition to Four Kings then up to Newtown Park for the Team Wellington game and back to Four Kings then onto the stadium.
After the big game it will be ticket only to control numbers. Tickets will be given out from Wednesday 11th till Saturday  evening at Four Kings. It will be in the form of a stamp 4 drinks and recieve your ticket to the post match party.

Its going to be the biggest night this town has ever seen so lock it in your diary.

Would love to be there ... good luck guys ... and look after weeMac  for us...

Cheers.  Sky TV is looking after weeMac's profile - a shot of him in the first leg is the main fade-out image on Sky's main ad for the game!
