Hi team,

Four Kings is the official bar of New Zealand Football for the big weekend.

As well as Fridays Audience with Wynton, Saturday will also be huge. As New Zealand Footballs official bar we will be hosting a street party on Inglewood place including a stage, live music and big screen outside to replay the game for those who are going or live for those who arn't.
There will be a free bus taking football fans around the city from the civic square freestyle competition to Four Kings then up to Newtown Park for the Team Wellington game and back to Four Kings then onto the stadium.
After the big game it will be ticket only to control numbers. Tickets will be given out from Wednesday 11th till Saturday  evening at Four Kings. It will be in the form of a stamp 4 drinks and recieve your ticket to the post match party.

Its going to be the biggest night this town has ever seen so lock it in your diary.

Can you explain how the ticket deal will work in a bit more detail? YYou have to buy X amount of drinks between Wed and Sat to get in? Does that mean I have to be completely trashed by Thursday arvo to ensure I get in?

If 4 beers gets you completly trashed then yes.
Its a stamp 4 card. You will need to buy 4 drinks between Wednesday and Saturday to get the ticket. Tickets will be limited to about  500 and im expecting a big turn out when we win.

Not too good for out of towners who are only there for the Saturday night though.

You'll have to leave an hour earlier and come straight here brfore the match.

I'll also have a bus running to the backbencher/stadium before and after the game.

What if I have four friends coming from out of town, and want to get them in. 20 beers would probably go some way towards trashed...

Of course -  there's four days to get the stamps

Sounds great in general though, & cheers for the info. Can I assume that tickets aren't guaranteed entry (irresponsible drinking aside) - if the place is full during the game and no one wants to leave after it...

What a great idea, so you reckon there will still be places available for drinkers on the Saturday afternoon? I arrive by bus at 2pm [won't have to worry about driving 4 hours home the next day after celebrating our qualification].

20 beers is Feverish's warm up to a big night.

Get hard Addicks.

That explains the 'pints and pies' t-shirt and why I buy my YF kit in the large kids' sizes?

Mean, I can't wait for this!!! Don't get in until late Fri ie 10pm. What time does the Wynton event go on until, and what are the chances of there still being tickets left for the after party Saturday arvo? Bit difficult for out of towners as this is definitely a must

Will the Inglewood place street party require a ticket?Oska2009-10-29 18:38:52

Some sort of alternative ticketing system for out of towners would be so so so so appreciated. To get me and my last minute arriving party in it would take me personally 24 beers between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. As much as I want to do this, I think we'd be crossing some licensing boundaries at some point.

sneakrat, if we win, there will be 35000 looking to party, there will be plenty of places and the streets on courtney place will be rocking like sevens, dont sweet it too much. Ive got a group of 30 coming from around the country so cant get in either but there will be plenty on.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Just to clarify, are the tickets going to be guaranteed entry to either the Inglewood Place street party or 4Kings upstairs?

I have a group of 8 going to the game, and it would be good to have somewhere for afters, but not going to be happy if we get there and can't get in due to people without tickets not leaving.

Haha, yeah, I guess the whole 35000 thing hasn't sunk in. I'm more used to the three person strong Auckland pup based Phoenix crowd.

It will be guaranteed entry after the game if you have a ticket unless you are intoxiacted or under age. If you turn up 2 hours after then you may have to wait but will skip the cue.

If the tickets are all gone by Friday arvo, just bad Luck? The boys all planning to head in then to get Stamped. Wouldn't't expect them to be gone in a couple days. Take our chances.

I would imagine that there will be plenty of tickets. If you dont have one you may need to cue after the game. We will have room for close to 1000 people so Im picking everyone who wants to come will get in. They may just have to cue for a bit.

Won't get to Welly until Friday arvo, by which time I guess the 500 tickets will be taken. Can I, as an out-of-towner, finance someone to drink 4 pints for me on the Wednesday?

Question: Is Four Kings near the Railway station (we will be staying near there) and will they be doing a (late) breakfast on Sunday morning?

Yes, you can walk from anywhere to anywhere in Wellington, as google maps would easily tell you.  In fact, Google could answer about 99% of the questions you have asked...

Edit: not near, 2nd best?  Is near defined as the walk between the RoF & the backbencher?
