According to Visa Entertainment, tickets for this game range from $45-$160.
The cheapest adult tickets available are $85!

Almost 32,000 people attending the Nix-Galaxy game last year but I can see large numbers of people being put off by these prices.  LA Galaxy are hardly a form team at present with just 1 win from the previous 13 games & just 9pts from this sequence of matches leaving them second last in their competion with just 5 games  remaining in their regular season.

How do the prices compare to the previous LA Galaxy visit to NZ?

i dont think they were more than 80 from memory - and that included an ALge game

Better yet - who the hell are they playing against. How are you sposed to buy tickets for a game when you dont know who is playing? It could be Hard News and Noah Hickey for all we know

Karembeu is confirmed & I would imagine a "selection" of players from each of the Oceania countries.

I can't see any of them Phoenix players backing up 24 hours after playing in Adelaide.

So feverish's red mist hasn't infected you?

No... quite apart from the challenges with actually catching up with someone, I just don't have the Red Mist gene.

Alicia Keys & Jordin Sparks concert or exhibition game featuring ex-ManUre?

Exhibition game featuring ex-ManUre or Alicia Keys & Jordin Sparks concert?

Decisions, decisions ... and this one's a no-brainer - Vector Arena for me that night!

I'm not going either. Friggin' circus. As has been said, what's Galaxy got to offer? One of the poorest MLS sides. Now if it was Chicago Fire, well that'd be different.

But buggered if I'd go and see Alicia Keys either. FFS JR, I thought that your love of Roxy Music would have meant that you had at least a hint of musical taste about you, but apparently not.

Will the Oceania team even be competitive at all?
Who will play?
Rufer, Karembeu, some NZFC players and some to come out of retirement or what?
Because Aussie is in Asia now and none of the Phoenix players would be able to play..

Think staying at home sounds the best option there

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Cheeky bugger! S'pose you'd turn your nose up at the Rihanna and Billy Joel concerts as well!!

You ought to get out and about more, Mr Walker - sounds to me like all those years of following the "O"'s fortunes have rendered you culturally challenged!

And furthermore, the Os don't have any "fortunes" unless you include those with a 'mis' in front of them..

I agree its a stoopid idea BUT..its diseingenuous to put the idea down just because:
1. its Auckland
2. we did it first and better

It is still great for football and its profile in NZ- don't ya think?

maybe just needed a bit more thought and an experienced events crew (ahem)

Mt Smart or Nth Harbour?  Can Mt Smart still hold 32,000 with all the changes.
As for the cost Elton John was $400, and it will all go on the credit card anyway, along with the rest of Christmas...

Not too bad when they throw in the opening and finals to the U-17 Womens World Cup.

I wonder who the "three players from outside Oceania" are.  Hopefully Karembeu can persuade some mates to make the trip.

One of them maybe Tim Cahill.

TBH unless the 3 players are big name players (Ronaldo, Gerrad etc.....yea right!) I wouldn't waste my cash.

Will anyone actually go?  It's a rip off.

It's not even football, just a big money making hype bullsh*t.

No way I will pay over $80 for it.

The prices are cheaper in Aus for the Roar Vs yankyank.

Mark Bosnich will be the goalie for the OFC team, I belive Cahill maybe showing up, As New Zealand dont have any stars at all, i doubt anyone from  the AW's team will be showing up.
Oh maybe Rufer.

LAG are bottom of the table, so is any of the downunder teams can't beat them black and blue, it say stuff all for our teams.

So why hasn't Waitakere United grab them for a CWC warm-up game?

They already have Beckham, so there is no other point beside the money.

Are AC gonna let Becks head down here for a training run against the Roar and an exxy game against a very average Confederation?

Or will that be built into the loan agreement? (Insert Orange beer slogan as applicable).

I don't know that A certain Mr Bex is comming down but if the form that I saw of the Galaxy (I saw their opening game of the season where they lost 4-0 to a Rapids team of no ones) then I recon that the OFC grandpas could do one over them.
