would be interested to know who's playing at the back. Can't read too much into the limited tweets but doesn't read well.

Also- NZF obviously haven't paid for their media guy to go over. I know there's a budget to run but when your brand is hammered you should be trying to reengage - worth the airfare and mattress.

Guessing burfoot and the other guy are squad fillers. Are any players injured or yet to join the camp? Agree re media guy. They should be promoting the team full time at the moment.

Fuck this stupid game

It reads as though they were Pride focused tweets and they had a total of four chances in 90 minutes. I'm sure there were plenty of chances for NZ that weren't tweeted. Agree the lack of engagement is a huge let down from NZF, do they even have a marketing/media person?

Surely I can't be the only one not too surprised by the shark coverage. Classic NZF. Does anyone working for them even realise that some of us are interested in watching how they do... or hear how they do... or read how they do? Jeez, we can't even read how they do!

I see a Williams listed as GK for the Pride, is that Tamiti and if so did he play against us?

I think expecting coverage of these games/a media guy to be with them for a camp is a bit much. It's clear they would have preferred all three games to be behind closed doors, but for whatever reason this one had to be public. I just hope a media guy is going to PNG...

Steven Upfold was the previous one - he was a good guy, did a good job at AFF and then did some good things at NZF - new guy is called Daniel Markham, he also was the Marketing and comms guy at AFF first - let's just say he did some good things but the jury was out.

Actually the head of comms is Peter Thorton. Daniel is his assistant.

Could have been Doyle at LB, Colvey at RB, and Brotherton and Themi at CB, with Fenton in the mids, seeing as Themi was replaced by Adams (although they might have reshuffled a lot at that 70 min mark)

western pride summary suggests 5 chances for the pride and 4 for the all whites including 2 goals and a penalty. Patterson the first goal from a free kick - Fallon had his penalty stopped after a hand ball and tuiloma scored on the turn after following up from a corner. 24 hours late but a rough summary of who did what. Pride site has kiwi face planted as their photo of choice from the night. I take full responsibility for any Fallon errors after celebrating his return.

I see by the Brisbane league table that the pride are 8th of around 13 teams. Next opponent for the all whites is sitting 2nd on the table and the last game is against the 5th placed team. Prediction. Draw versus Redlands and close win versus Brisbane city with no clean sheets. Hopefully these two further games will be the ones to help organise our defence?

Wood? McGlinchey?

McGlinchey supposedly was in Brisbane with the side but didn't play vs. Western Pride. Injury concern?

From news report yesterday:

Next week will see "...the arrival of captain Chris Wood, who has 39 international caps, in Brisbane on Wednesday.

Fellow experienced figures Shane Smeltz, Kosta Barbarouses, Marco Rojas and Michael Boxall are all still involved in games with their clubs and will join the squad in Papua New Guinea."

Still involved with club matches - which means 4 possible starting players not acclimatising to island conditions - puts a bit of a spanner in what the games are for. Still, the bench will be fit as. Go all whites.
