Need a substitution. Maybe 442 - Prelevic off, Kosta on to right wing

Move McG to left wing. Themi into the centre midfield with Tuiloma.

Patterson and Rogerson on for the two nimwits Fallon and Prelevic... FFS

And I swear if he puts on Brockie..........

I thought Fallon was one of the few players trying to do things with some level of quality

Mar (GK). Surprised no one else given a run really but has done everything needed.

Boxall (RB). Seems to be where he plays now rather than centrally. For me Fenton has had a poor tournie- good ticket but impotent on attack. Boxall offers more both going forwards at at set pieces. Will make up for lack of height elsewhere.

Themi. (CB). Solid and reads game well. Will not be an option against the SA teams as lacks pace (like Durante). But against OFC opposition a perfect CB for knockout games.

Adams (CB). Done all asked of him. Positionally sound.

Ridenton (LB). Personally was very suprised Doyle didn't start v the Solomans and dissapointed that Colvey has underwhelmed. Ridenton is not a natural but got up and down very well. He'll pick Colvey though...

Hudson- Wihongi (DM). Has real talent. Probably has the best 20-40 metre pass in the team. Crisp and accurate. Did well playing out of position too. He'll play Bill but Hudson is showing the benefit of playing regular minutes for a winning team ( and the confidence that brings) that is well coached.

Wee Mac (CM). Not his natural position but has a good engine and as long as doesn't get dragged out of position is a good option.

Kosta (RM). Looking fit and sharp.

Patterson (AM). Great energy and wants the ball. Can support Wood and feed off flick ons but also link with K and Marco.

Rojas (LM). Only picked because I know he can do better and just really want to see it.

Wood (or Fallon if unfit). Don't need both.

This team was posted a couple of days ago in another thread.  Does anyone not think this is a better team than the one Hudson has put out on the park?

Quite easily better suited as a TEAM than the one on the park.

Can anyone explain what Tuiloma brings to the team by the way? I've never seen in it an All Whites shirt.

I just don't understand. It's windy, which is affecting long balls and reducing their effectiveness to basically zilch. And we've got Prelevic, who can't even control the ball.

This would all be excusable IF WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY OTHER F*CKING OPTIONS. Why is Kosta not playing? Quite obviously our biggest and most effective thread going forward. I don't understand. And if you're just going to play players out of position randomly because, well, why, not - why not start a guy like Patterson who has done quite well (imo) every time he's had a chance this tournament?

Smeltz is playing?

This is an absolute shambles! One of the worst halves of football from a nz team I've seen in a very long time. Our game is going downhill fast under Hudson not developing like the shark he has us believe! What metrics are we exactly measuring Hudsons performances on, cos I see absolutely nothing suggesting our game is developing. We will get well and truly humped in the confederations cup, if we even make it!

That's the worst half of football I have ever seen from the all whites

This is a team I was excited to see. Colvey and Prelevic have done nothing to deserve to be there and suprise, these are the players on cards. Brotherton is marginal and while a decent player at U-20 level was at fault in the pool game.

I'd even forgotten Brockie. He'd be doing a better job out wide and allowing Wee Mac to come centrally.

He's been patchy. Has some talent though. And the throw.

Well if he is, Valeo is right - in the context of this game Sydney really is no mans land. Probably offers more than Prelavic though!

He's got no talent, he's just a running machine, should be a marathon runner not a footballer - especially a striker.

We need spark and some creativity, not a big headed retard that thinks he is some sort of football legend, pisses me off to be honest.
(the way he celebrated when he scored the goal in the first game off that deflection got me)

I want us to get beat purely so Hudson gets the chop, and half of the muppets getting easy caps never play a game for the all whites again

Fallon, Wood and Tuiloma are pro's - they're not doing well, but the whole team isn't doing well.

The fact we're hanging onto the wind to save us is desperate.

I want us to win, FFS! I've missed out enough football between Honiara and the BS with the Olympics. No confeds cup wold be so crap. Come on man, google some pictures of kittens or something and cheer up a bit. Hudson is incomprehensible right now, but it's better than nothing at all...

I'm disappointed I didnt get the email with the 'be an all white for the tournament' competition that Prelevic won. Would have loved a trip to PNG. Someone should email NZ footballs marketing department and voice our concerns.

Hudson has to go, no one in NZ football should ever listen to  Van hatum, Fallon (son or dad).

Next coach should be  be from anywhere, except  england or new zealand.

Is Kosta injured or suspended? There is no way he isn't better than most of the guys out there.

Permalink Permalink

no attacking inspiration or creativity from midfield first half so at least Patterson is step in right direction.

So so bad that half!!!

Prevalich was pants along with Brotherton and Colvey.

But why some of these players got a start to begin with is beggars belief. How Kosta is not starting is crazy.

I thought once Ricki left left field picks might go too. SO WRONG!!
