We are all over them. Not sure where people are seeing the threat from the Solomons. Adams and Brotherton have stopped most attacks when run at them. we are also turning them over in midfield at will.

You've missed the half a dozen or so quick counter attracks from Solomons, then?

Another one then.

They are more effective than us.

What are you watching? They've managed to release their right wide player twice on the counter down the side we are playing a midfielder as a left back. Both had ended in pretty much what you'd expect from any team that has quick players with terrible decision making, sure they got in behind but there was never any real danger. We're all over them, we do need a focal point in attack though, all due respect to Brockie but that's not his game.

Only threat seems to be daudau up our left hand side. Totori has shot from miles out and Lea'alafa has been misfiring.

While we haven't scored they haven't offered up much.

Still, a goal would make me happy but this is in control so far. I think the solomons have been disrupted with those 2 injuries.

I think you might be right on this one.

Brotherton and Dyer just not international class. Brotherton will be one day, Dyer probably not. Te Atawhai and Kosta looking very good. I like Marinovich, he always looks so safe.

Completely agreed. I don't know what anyone sees in Dyer?

Brotherton reminds me Old and O'Dor at the Nix. Out of his depth, but might get better in the future.

Brotherton is 19. Plenty of time. let's not write him off yet.

Much happier with how we have played this half despite the lack of goals.  We are actually looking to move the ball around and not just not it long.  I thought we looked good early when McGlinchey got on the ball  and controlled the game.  Brotherton and Dyer not looking up to it, but I have been impressed with TAWH.

geez this is an interesting game. A bit more interesting than Id like.... we're a bit too Phoenix-like in the attack....

Think Wood would probably have filled his boots with Kosta, Marco and WeeMac buzzing around the box.

Second half start!

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

How old is TAHW (for lack of spelling)? He's looking good.

I think Brotherton is very promising, just not quite there right now. Valeo, I think the only person who sees anything in Dyer is Hudson himself. Clayton Lewis would have been a much better option, Rogerson too.

Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

Why the fudge is Moses Dyer playing for the National team...

TAHW has just turned 21. Very mature player.

Underperforming team so far today. Low intensity up front. Need someone to gee them up

I think we've been real poor overall. This is a reasonably weak Solomon's team who lost two of their starters in the first 10 mins..

This looks very much like we're playing ACFC style from the back mixed with Phoenix style in the final third..

so far I'd have to say Roy> Marco and Kosta looks good, but needs a bunch of players moving around in the box. Or a Berisha level finisher. And here comes Rory by the looks...

Rory is warming up, prepare to come on for sure!!!

Kosta. Excellent first half, awful so far in the second.

Adams has actually stopped pretty much all attacks through the middle

still looking like we're a little lacking in impetus and no subs yet.

Would be great if we could put the ball in the oppositions net!!!!!

I can see us losing this 1-0 nil

Totori has squandered so many chances for them. not sure why he's shooting from 40m out...

Patterson is a goal hungry player. Almost want to see Brockie a bit wider.

Permalink Permalink

Dyer is 18... just.

Has played better today than in previous outings, certainly better than Brotherton today whose passing has been poor at best.

Wihongi looking the goods.

Patterson will spark a few goals

Lets be fair- this team has looked much more like a Hudson team: shape , but a bit toothless

Didn't realise Rojas was still on the field - been quiet 2nd half

What is preferable - a team that just gets the job done (i.e. hoofball) or trying to play on the deck like this and being completely ineffective?
