So next game up is Saturday, still not confirmed to go through but would take us losing and Fiji winning big for that to happen. Woods out of tournament now too apparently after dislocating his shoulder in last nights game.

If both Fiji and Solomon Island win by 4 or more we are out!

Also, topping the group gives us the evening kick off time for the semifinal

Yeah you could see it was a dislocation straight away - it must have popped out and then back in again pretty quick though as he was able to move his arms around pretty much straight away after a bit of manipulation. I had hoped I was wrong but really knew I wasn't. Really unlucky for him (and us) - when will we get to run the A-team without a key injury or omission (e.g. Reid) - ever?

Actually Fiji has to win by 5 or more.  So it's the best game to rest some players who have played both matches and are a vital part of the team (Tuiloma, WeeMac, Tzimopoulos, Fallon, he's on the list because Wood's injured and he and Brockie are our only strikers). I would take a sharky draw or a 1-0 win rather than another player injured like Wood.
I don't want to see Prelevic starting anymore, he had his chance and proved he's average. Give Ridenton, who is at least a pro, a chance.

What a buggar to loose woods. Out of curiosity, Can we call someone up as injury replacement? Not sure who it would be, just wondering.

Can't find latest regulations, but if I'm reading the 2012 ones correctly, a player can only be replace due to injury before tournament starts. Can't at the tournament. (This from 2012) http://www.oceaniafootball.com/ofc/Portals/0/Image...

Anyone else watching the Papua New Guinea vs Tahiti game? Here's the official OFC stream. If Tahiti win they'll qualify for the semifinals. However, PNG had an upset draw over New Caledonia three days ago, so the question is whether they can do that again or perhaps even better against the reigning champions of Oceania.

Watching it now, going for PNG as the home team

They're actually dominating, I expected Tahiti to be up by now. Perhaps this PNG team is better than we think. They've literally had better passing than NZ.

Good to see that goal before half time, playing in your own country with home crowd probably helps too

Thought red card to Tahiti was harsh, given for DOGSO but at most a yellow. Attack didn't have control of ball and still a bit to do with other defenders coming back.

As I'm typing that, PNG score again  2-0 with a good goal

PNG just scored an absolute banger of a goal! Quick passing, a flick from Foster and a great finish from Raymond Gunemba for his second. However, while typing this, Tahiti have got one back (who are playing with 10 men).

If PNG keep this up and win, that will be devastating for Tahiti, who will be going into their last match without their captain Vallar. If they lose to New Caledonia, the reigning champions will be out in the group stage! Whereas the lowest-ranked team PNG (202 in the FIFA Rankings) will make it to the semifinals. It's 2–1 to the hosts and what a match so far.

What a great game. 2–2 the final score, Tahiti completely revitalised after the first goal they got back; they played better with 10 men than 11. Now Papua New Guinea has 2 points, Tahiti 4 (4 GD) and New Caledonia 1 (with a game at 9pm vs Samoa; so 4 if they quite likely defeat them). The first match on Sunday is between PNG and Samoa; they should win that considering how well they've played against the two favourites for their group. That would make it 5 points for the hosts and 4 apiece for TAH and NCL.

So PNG quite likely to make it to the semifinals unless NCL and TAH have a better goal difference beforehand and the two French territories play out a West Germany vs Austria 1982.

Two draws in a row, that's something you don't see that much in Ocenia. Good for PNG

It has been confirmed that All Whites captain Chris Wood has sustained a Grade One strain in the AC joint at the top of his shoulder and will not be available for selection for the team’s final Group B match against the Solomon Islands.

The 24-year-old has not been ruled out of the tournament though and will remain in camp as he looks to recover from the injury, which was picked up early on in New Zealand’s 5-0 win over Vanuatu after Wood had scored two goals.

“He has no chance of playing in the next game and it’s touch-and-go as to whether he will play any further part,” coach Anthony Hudson says.

“We are just going to monitor it on a day-by-day basis and it depends how quickly he can recover. We hope to have him available for the semi-final if we are to make it but we will just have to wait and see.”

The All Whites have won their first two Group B matches – over Fiji and Vanuatu – and face their final game before the knockout stages on Saturday against Solomon Islands.

The match takes place at 7pm local time at Sir John Guise Stadium and will be shown LIVE from 8.50pm on SKY Sport Pop-up Channel 055.

Interesting that the Football Ferns' upcoming two friendlies are on the Sky Sport channels while the All Whites are only on the pop-up channels (including replays) with resulting complaints that they can't be viewed on Fan Pass.

I've no problems with the Ferns being on the main Sky Sport channels but I would question why replays of the All Whites games can't be on the main Sky Sport channels when they have four channels broadcasting 24 hours a day.

That way those interested could have watched the replays of the AW's on Fan Pass if they were at reasonable times.

Even if the live AW's broadcasts couldn't be on the main channels due to conflicting with other live sport.

Game 2: Tuesday June 7 in Melbourne, 7pm LIVE SKY Sport 1 (Highlights June 7, 10:30pm SKY Sport 2)

Maybe the thinking at Sky is "The Ferns are playing Australia. That's more important than the All Whites matches which are only against tin pot Island countries..."

Taylor Saghabi

"Who he?' I hear you ask.

For the time being, the top-scorer in OFC World Cup qualifying.

And from the Cook Islands.

And not even participating in the OFC Nations Cup (beaten by Samoa in the qualifying final)

He has four goals.

Basking in his moment of glory...

Chris Wood and Teaonui Tehau are next on three (and Woodsy looking like he might not add to that tally in the Nations Cup)

Then several on two including Rory Fallon, Roy Krishna, Andrew Mobberley (East Coast Bays, ex-Southern United),Roy Kayara, Alvin Tehau etc.

Not sure you put your normal excellent level of research into this one.  Replays have been and continue to be on sport channels

Hey, I'd love to watch AW's games on FanPass and give Sky my money. But I can't.

Same for Euro 2016. Was ready to pay the $50 for a month to view. But I can't.

Top work all round.
