Sean Lovemore looked poor and squealed everytime he skied the ball yesterday at Melville, heard Alex Carr is going also as the 3rd keeper.
Carr is a bit up and down, but probably doesn't matter as 3rd choice.

And is Branch still part of Auckland City Academy? Played all season for Waikato

Rojas for sure, but I'm not so sure about Musa. I didn't see any of the qualifiers and I'm told Musa did very well - problem is I don't think he's quick enough to play at a level higher than A-league. We will see what happens in this next tournament, but I think some of these lads will be seriously exposed by a lack of pace. Hobbs is slow - don't people recall the u-17 WC games a few years back when he was absolutely destroyed at right back? Colin Murphy had to fill in there because it was so bad. I feel sorry for Hobbs because I think he can play a bit; the coach shouldn't be making him play full back. And although Branch isn't slow, he isn't fast either. I don't know how quick Luke Rowe is, but the backline looks a bit pedestrian to me. Adam Thomas is fast, and I think he is a better choice at right back than Hobbs and maybe even for Branch at centre back -sheesh Adam is about 6'3" also which is nice in that position. In midfield Zane Sole is slow also, but Colin Murphy has got good speed as does Andrew Milne. Dakota Lucas, Andy Bevin and Ryan Cain are quick enough I think and Sean Lovemore is a great addition because he is seriously fast - sure he and Lucas need a lot of technical work still, but you can't buy the pace they have.

I don't get it

Who said that this scout is interested in 2 players? No quotes in there directly stating, is it all just hearsay?
It didnt say anything about a trial.

they haven't drawn the U17 tournament yet, even though it starts over a month before the U-20 one?  seems a bit odd to me but I don't know how these things work.

Yeah, weird.  The under-17 draw is on May 17.

Mystery solved...

The 2010/11 European U-17 Championship will serve as the qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2011. The final round will be played in Serbia from 3-15 May 2011. The three top-ranked teams from the two groups will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011.

According to twitter Chris Milicich is trying to organize a free link to the game with the Korean FA. I will post the link tomorrow night at 7.30 when the game starts if one is available.
