OFC U20 Qualifiying tournament 2011

Either the NZ goalkeeper is huge, or the rest of the NZ team is tiny!!

Was at the game. It was almost an away match - huge PI community support, and a bunch of young Solomons girl fans who made a lot of noise. I wasn't impressed with the first half, but things opened up in the second. I couldn't understand why Marco could fire them in against Newcastle or the Furries but seemed to have issues with the Solmons U-20 side. But perhaps it was from the lack of having Greenie or Big Mac in the box.The first goal was sweet - Dakota Lucas from a Marco assist - and then Marco got a penalty. I'm not sure why people are saying that the player dived. Andy Bevin came on later and got a really sweet goal later on. Marinovic the keeper was fantastic in the air, but some of his punts were really dodgy and barely got to half way. Jimmie Musa was playing a blinder, hovering around the goalmouth in the hope of a Winston Reid header when we were on the attack, but tracking back well to keep the fast Solomons forwards out. About the only player I had doubts about was Hobbs, who seemed to get outpaced all the time by the Solomons forwards.Weird thing - a chick sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder and asked "Which one is your son?" I was very offended by the implication that I'm old enough to have a 19-year-old son. (Technically I am but only if I were a knocked-up teenage slut, which I wasnt.)
