Lacks a catchy nickname?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Great too see a player whom has been outstanding for the last couple of years at both NZFC and Northern League level being chosen, that being Aaron Scott, a pillar for both Waikato and Melville in the last few years

Anyone know if there will be Radio coverage with the Olly-White games?

Notice how we get Fiji and the Solomons at the hottest time of the day ?

I really don't have a good feeling about this.

If your going to mention a Waikato player it has to be Hone Fowler for this year, doesn't look the same since he cut his hair though will certainly be better for it in the heat

yep, clearly a most unfortunate coincidence

and all the other teams will be more used to the conditions

5 games in 9 days - hope they've got a good physio and a masseur who loves their work

it'll be interesting

Here in winter will do, make them play at Alex Moore in a Southerly with Hail...

Alex Moore is a great pitch, especially the number 2 ground. There are few other fields in Welly where a 4-0 half time deficit can easily be turned around on a windy day because of the wind.

On the Oly-Whites campaign. I'm guessing there is no live coverage of the matches anywhere on tv, radio or internet?

perhaps on the internet - I remember that few a of us listened to a fijian station based in auckland for the 'Big Whites' WC game v fiji

I'll see if i can find the url - http://www.tarana.co.nz/   no indication whether they are broadcasting it, but might be worth clicking on listen live at kick -off

the oceania site might have to do as fallback,

unless liverpoolfan1 can save our bacon again with a link to some obscure broadcast

33 GOAL! Cole Peverly picks up a lay off and lashes home a sensational goal for New Zealand! Its 1-0 to the Oly Whites! Benaminion had no chance

from the oceania site live updates pg, looks like fiji were dominating for a while and hit the bar early on

bummer -

41 GOAL! A Malakai Tiwa long range is deflected into the New Zealand net by Steven Old its credited to Tiwa

no updates so assume 1-1 at half-time

Weather reports says "Scattered showers  25C" So its not to hot over there for the Oly-Whites.

Island refs, in Fijian heat when Fiji have been focussing on the Under-23 side for the last 6 months ?

I'll take that.  Superb.
