If you didnt buy one or know people who need to go:

1.) Ask NZ Football to release the temporary seating here - http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/blogs/hand-of-god/2972593/Unleash-extra-seats-for-Bahrain-game

2.) Join our  FACEBOOK campaign -

I wonder if the kingdom of bahrain has purchased 30,000 tickets, just to keep our fans away...lol.

Just curious as to where these extra seats would be located? They must be pretty low lying otherwise they would block the view from the stands?

In front of the current seats down to ground level.  There is an 8 foot or so drop.  Also across three of the four tunnel entrances around the ground apparently.

What about the possibility of a big screen going up somewhere in town?

I know how I'd feel if I miss out on tickets if I'm certain to go, so I'm in for this campaign, I feel for those who are desperate of tickets and can't go

do it for the kiwis, NZF

more numbers the merrier and the more noise hopefully

Those seats down at pitch level will add Big Time to the atmos! Common NZ live it large!

How many extra seats would there be if the NZFA decided to go ahead with it? Could it become just about a money making venture rather than for the good of the game?

*facepalm*

Of course it will be about money. Got demand, supply it. Having said that, it is also about just getting those people there for the game.

So are you against having extra seats or not?

Looking at that photo, there is one obvious way to do the extra seats:

As there seem to be four sets of extra seats, one set for each side of the ground, then release each set one at a time; wait til it sells then release the next.

Or release the seats on the side first, then the seats behind either goal.

These approaches lower the risk of unsold seats.

Michael Glading on Radio Sport news this afternoon said NZF would be talking to the Stadium tomorrow and were likely to go for more seats. C'mom Mr Glading, as many as possible!

Camp out the night before all those without tickets.

Phone and internet will be clogged up. Sleep out is the only way to guarantee tickets for such an important match...
Permalink Permalink

So they will be available at any Ticketek venue obviously then, not just Internet?
Permalink Permalink
