Guys, please work out the syllables, its not the hard. Or atleast sing it outloud.

"Yel-low Army"

Can be replaced by "All - White Army"

"Black and White Army" DOES NOT WORK.

vent over. just think people. the nation is depending on us.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

As I have the spirit of sport
I will give you a free gift, maybe bring a smile to you
This song, from Trinidad, was to encourage the Soca Warriors
Beautiful song
Perhaps you take them some ideas
We have many songs for the Bahrain national team, but unfortunately in Arabic
Including the enjoyment you will hear, you will not find this song on the internet, because I have just submitted to the site
Exclusively for the yellow fever site

It does work mate.

If one song got the whole crowd going, I'm afraid it would probably be home & away.

That would be a disgrace. A hilarious, fantastic disgrace.

So a good reason to learn both versions.  We've got a month to do it.  Should be easy?
FIFA have pretty strick guielines it'll be instramental only just like it was in Bahrain

I'm curious, now that you mention it. Where are these strict guidelines published? And what are they? I can't see anything much in the official regs and guidelines.

The Statutes are silent on national anthems.

The tournament regs say playing the national anthems should take place, if required, when the teams are lined up and that the FIFA anthem should be played when the teams are coming out. And that's all they say.

The Guidelines for FIFA Match Officials document released in 2003, for which there appears to be no current equivalent, merely echoes the tournament regs while adding that the away anthem is played first and that both anthems should be played from around 6 minutes to 2 minutes before kick off in order to keep things punctual.

In the bonds of love we meet,

Hear our voices, we entreat,

God defend our Free Land.

Guard Pacific's triple star,

From the shafts of strife and war,

Make her praises heard afar,

God defend New Zealand

English Lyrics Maori Lyrics Maori Lyrics Translated
God of nations! at Thy feet
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our Free Land.
Guard Pacific's triple star,
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,
God defend New Zealand
E Ihowa Atua,
O nga iwi matou ra
Ata whakarongona;
Me aroha noa
Kia hua ko te pai;
Kia tau to atawhai;
Manaakitia mai
Aotearoa
O Lord, God,
Of all people
Listen to us,
Cherish us
May good flourish,
May your blessings flow
Defend Aotearoa
Men of ev'ry creed and race
Gather here before Thy face,
Asking Thee to bless this place,
God defend our Free Land.
From dissension, envy, hate,
And corruption guard our State,
Make our country good and great,
God defend New Zealand.
Ona mano tangata
Kiri whero, kiri ma,
Iwi Maori Pakeha,
Repeke katoa,
Nei ka tono ko nga he
Mau e whakaahu ke,
Kia ora marire
Aotearoa
Let all people,
Red skin, white skin
Mori, Pkeh
Gather before you
May all our wrongs, we pray,
Be forgiven
So that we might say long live
Aotearoa
Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
God defend our Free Land.
Lord of battles in thy might,
Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
God defend New Zealand.
Tona mana kia t!
Tona kaha kia ;
Tona rongo hei pak
Ki te ao katoa
Aua rawa nga whawhai
Nga tut a tata mai;
Kia tupu nui ai
Aotearoa
May it be forever prestigious,
May it go from strength to strength,
May its fam spread far and wide,
Let not strife
Nor dissention ensue,
May it ever be great
Aotearoa
Let our love for Thee increase,
May Thy blessings never cease,
Give us plenty, give us peace,
God defend our Free Land.
From dishonour and from shame
Guard our country's spotless name
Crown her with immortal fame,
God defend New Zealand.
Waiho tona takiwa
Ko te ao marama;
Kia whiti tona ra
Taiawhio noa.
Ko te hae me te ngangau
Meinga kia kore kau;
Waiho i te rongo mau
Aotearoa
Let its territory
Be ever enlightened
Throughout the land
Let envy and dissension
Be dispelled,
Let peace reign
Over Aotearoa
May our mountains ever be
Freedom's ramparts on the sea,
Make us faithful unto Thee,
God defend our Free Land.
Guide her in the nations' van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
Working out Thy Glorious plan,
God defend New Zealand.
Tona pai me toit
Tika rawa, ponu p;
Tona noho, tana t;
Iwi no Ihowa.
Kaua mona whakama;
Kia hau te ingoa;
Kia t hei tauira;
Aotearoa
Let its good features endure,
Let righteousness and honesty prevail
Among the people of God
Let it never be ashamed,
But rather, let its name be known
Thereby becoming the model to emulate
Aotearoa

I'm in a moral panic- as a pom do I sing the national anthem (particularly when i don't ever sing my own!)?

I thought NZ had two anthems - God Defend New Zild and God Save our Goodness Gracious Me Queen (from her son becoming King).

I'm never been patriotic enough to want to sing a national anthem... but am swayed for this if it will gee up the team.

yes, given your  'political' stance you can consider it an act of protest against the monarchy

Know we've discussed it, but whilst we are on the topic of national anthems, please don't be dickheads and boo/whistle/c**tify the Bahrain anthem.

Yeah there should be silence while the Bahrain anthem is going. Really frustrates me that one. Then just blow them out of the water with the Maori version, because it always sounds tragic at Rugby events.

I hope it as good as the Anthem at the beginning of the NPC final.
