Hello chaps,

Supporter of the USMNT here.  Looked around for All Whites forums and this is the best I could find.  I must confess I have no idea what time it is in New Zealand.  You obviously know you guys get Mexico in the playoff due to some late heroics by the USA.  Many of us were in a tough spot tonight, as we had already qualified and a USA loss coupled with a Mexico loss would have eliminated Mexico. Can't be upset with our team for winning though :) .  Sorry if you already know this...

Anyway, I'm here because I just became a huge All Whites supporter! Sorry about hopping on the bandwagon, but I can't help it.  I loved how you guys played in South Africa last time around.  Only team not to lose, right?  If you play anything like that in this playoff, you will qualify.  Mexico is terrible right now.  Get a 0-0 result in the Azteca, and the pressure will eat Mexico alive.  Their team is probably at an all time low.  They just needed a stoppage time goal from their enemies to even get into a playoff.

Anyway, any information about your team is appreciated.  I know of some of the bigger names (Smeltz, Wood, Fallon).  Any further information on players to watch would be appreciated.  If you have any questions about Mexico, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer!

Thanks a lot guys.  Sorry again to jump on the bandwagon, but I really don't like Mexico ;)   Go All Whites!

Winston Reid is our best player. Captains West Ham and is a central defender.

We've lost the heart of the WC2010 squad, including Ryan Nelson, Mark Paston, Tim Brown, Andy Barron and Simon Elliot who have all retired.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Watch out for Marco Rojas. He is a terrific young player with loads of pace and skill. Got signed to Stuttgart in Germany after winning the A-league (Australian and New Zelanad professional league) player of the season award with 15 goals and 9 assists in 20 something games. Was talk of Juventus and Liverpool interested in him before he eventually went to Germany. Kosta Barbarouses is also a quick winger with a style similar to Rojas, but he's not as good. Still can be a handy player on his day though. Mcglinchy is rated as one of the best midfielders in the A-league over here and his coach says he is one of the best players in the league. Overall I think we are in for a tough couple of games, but if there is ever a time to beat Mexico, it's now. Welcome aboard.

Um Kevin Nolan is West Ham captain... Reid has captained West Ham on occasion including an F.A Cup tie v United.

Deep philosophical question, but can't I LOL at Andy Barron AND LOL at our current mid options?

I think Timmy would be very useful for us and I'd rather have Pasty as our number 2 then the other options currently available.  No need to mention a certain MLS manager.

If Smeltzys crocked we should have a front three of Wood, Fallon and SBW...Mexicans would have a coronary.

Surely Sonny could fit one more code into his resume?

I honestly think Ricki brought him on against Italy not for any tactical reason but simply to take the piss
