So, who will have the worst  World Cup  play-off results  -  us or Jordan?

Jordan lost 5-0 at home to Uruguay last week - they play again tomorrow NZT away in Montevideo....

Will be interesting - it may become a blow-out as several Jordanian players have quit the team and refused to travel

There's always some one worse off than you......

why are we trying to play offside?  i used to tell my 10 year old team that we only push up to compress.  and the all whites are stationary waving their hands in the air!?

tuiloma is getting skinned.  not his fault, you don't just throw a back 4 together in a few days

smith and durante have never played as a pairing.  just like ivan hadn't played in defence for ages before the 1st leg.  our limited preparation is made even worse by herbert not building these combinations within the team in the games he's been given

brockie pissed me off man, there's a reason smeltz is our penalty taker and there's a reason you''ve never scored a goal for us, so to upset the order like that was very poor form

Maybe Brockie's the designated penalty taker. Smeltz also missed one against Honduras.

Brockie looks like he did years ago for Canterbury United when he plays for the AW's

He scored about one goal in his couple of seasons for Canterbury United. I remember a season for Canterbury where he was a joke in front of goal and failed to score any goals......

His first AW game wasn't long after that so maybe he carried that form through to the AWs back in '06 and has never lost it.  Rojas running it a bit too much too

Well I'd hope Mexico were always going to produce much better teams than us with their huge population, financial input & passion for the game.
We have the population of Sydney, little money and not much passion amongst the general population for football...
We're producing  a few good players like Rojas, Roux, Thomas  and Wood but many of our team are not top professional standard.
We can't afford world-class coaches in NZ  - and  can't  even afford for our team to play regularly....
Having said that, actually there aren't many teams with our small population above us on the FIFA rankings...

Jesus, is Kosta aware one can pass the ball instead of single-handedly trying to dribble the ball into the net?

Costa Rica only have 4 mil but they get high class competition pretty much all year round. It's a horrible thought that we'll shortly be back in the wilderness of two friendlies a year, followed by titanic encounters with Samoa and Vanuatu....

I knew Roux was good from watching the A-League - but I didn't realise he's that good.

Boy, very promising debut - big talent for the future...
