Should there be a White out at the game? You know the whole crowd wears white.

I have seen several USA sporting events, eg: College American Football and Ice Hockey and the effect is amazing.

The Phoenix Coyotes NHL team, have whiteouts for their home games, and the fans all wave white towels, it looks awesome.

I think its something that could take off if the media got behind it,  and urged people to wear white.

I like it.  The rugby black outs don't work on tv.  We are definitely wearing white for the home leg?

It doesn't matter what the players are wearing.  We're White Noise, we wear white.

It's our colours.

Yeah, will make sure all the newcomers will be in white.

We could use the catch fraise that Dunedin used to advertise their test math against the West Indies. "It's All White down Here" (It couldn't be conceived as racist at all)

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

I'll be wearing white. And I'm getting fatter as I type, so I'll cover quite a bit of the stadium.

Haha cool, I am glad we are not playing Africa or the West Indies.
Didn't NZ cricket do a white out promotion before the West Indies toured but then they cancelled it due to it appearing racist? haha. PC gone mad.
I think we are pretty safe doing a white out with Bahrain.

Time to pull out the tighty whities! Like last weekend - All Whites home strip over white long-sleeved thermals.  Done and done.

I have heard that white pants are not ok though. Apparently they are a distasteful act. How do we get around this dilemma?

That would be impressive but we would need to spread the word to the media to let people know.

That said, I only have white T-shirts, not jackets.

In which case I'd be hoping for a warm night - though that's not what we want on the field ...

White out is a great shout. Just wear a white t over a top if its cold, hardly a problem. Some one official ish should start spreading the word.

Blatantly stolen off their predecessors in Winnipeg, yet another reason why the Coyotes lack class

But yeah, great idea, would love to see the entire stadium in white. The Pittsburgh Penguins NHL team did it last year by placing branded t-shirts under the seating, but obviously Mellon Arena has much less seats that Westpac Stadium, and NHL tickets cost a heck of a lot more than $40.

That's really common in sport fandom (e.g. same chants across the A-League).

Don't think of it as stealing, think of it as sharing without having to ask permission

Thought I might get called up on that

My problem with the Coyotes doing it isn't that they nicked it off another club. My problem is that they nicked it off the Winnipeg Jets - bearing in mind that the Phoenix Coyotes ARE the Winnipeg Jets as a relocated team. The Coyotes fans and organization should have tried to form their own traditions and legacy, as I strongly feel the Jets traditions and legacy belong to the people of Winnipeg. It seems a bit like mocking Winnipeggers for their misfortune on the part of the Coyotes, whereas it's fine for teams that have no connection to the city such as Pittsburgh, Anaheim, and of course the MIGHTY ALL WHITES.

This is all off-topic though and I had to delete a couple paragraphs, so if you wanna know the rest, bug me via PM/Facebook or bring it up on the NHL thread

Has absolutely nowt to do with the Nix. Even the players have to buy their own tickets for this one.

White pants are fine.
I may pull them out of retirement.

White out sounds good.

Well they purse the forum and read a few thing, I thought that they would pass the message along. NZF does not give me as much confidence.AllWhitebelievr2009-10-16 20:48:09
