It looks like it was Safet Susicfor Yugoslavia 13 June 1979

Really, Pape?

He was a fantastic player, one of the best I've seen play live. Just taken over as coach of Bosnia recently.

Yeah, that would be interesting.I'd kind of assumed he'd pack in the AW's post World Cup to focus on the Phoenix but that opens a whole new fear.

I can imagine Terry S saying "whatever Inter Milan are offering, I'll double it".

Any updates on Brownies recovery?

Brown's not going to make it and in a surprise decision from NZF Peverley's been withdrawn and David Dodd, who has had his NZ citizenship sped up, is on the plane to Austria.  He may make the bench for the Slovenia game, but it would be cutting it fine.  Probably come off the bench against Chile, though.

Bugger about Brownie. Wouldn't have happened if the ref did his job. Can't imagine Peverly would be too enthused, Dodd isn't even anthing to write home about.

I think you'll find LG is having a bit of fun, no announcement on Brown yet.

It's good to see that David Mulligan has found his niche in the squad... as Rory Fallon's chauffeur!

And to think some people were questioning his selection.

Yeah, but you're one of those super-advanced new breed humans.

Some of us are still struggling.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere else. Knowing there was divided opinion on whether to include Mossy in the squad, it's great to know that now that decision was the right one. He's free of the suspension. Not that I think he will or should start against Paraguay.   From reading his blogs it sounds like he harbours no hard feelings and just wants the team to do well.

Your time will come Mossy!

Would be hard to drop Paston now not only because of the way he played against Italy but also the understanding he has with the back 3.

I think if we had lost both our opening games, Ricki might have given Moss a game to make up for the 4 game suspension that he suffered when NZ Football didn't appeal it.
