Maybe feverish can explain what he meant then?
Were'nt Auckland & Waitakare the 2 top teams in 1st year of NZFC when there was no CWC?
and how does he explain Wellingtons 8-0 win over Manawatu? nothing to do with the CWC money as they have have'nt been there ye,t yes Manawatu did lose Totori to Waitakare but that surely isnt the reason they lost 8-0

i didnt see the game - so I find it quite hard to comment on it. I saw them win a tight game at home against them 3-1. Maybe they had injuries or suspensions or had just been on a massive bender. Hard for me to say

1st we didnt just lose Totori we lost our other two best players too, Nelson and Mae Mae, 2nd we replaced them with two sh*t house fijians that dont know where the goals is, 3rd you cant just lose all that and have another good season it just doesnt make sence and 4th but not last....we have the world record for the keeper stuffing the most Mrs macs pies stuffed down his track pants during a game. Hes ols, hes injured, hes not up to the standard. Have a look on the youngheart website and you can see replys of the goals.....utting didnt look like he wanted to be there at all....even thou the rest were playing like balls. Just for you ted. But Im sure you knew that already.....but savour the moment because shane wont let the same mistake happen twice. Hopefully our main problem Oirealy dontwanaputitinthegoal wont be playing....if thats how you spell it.

I'm well aware of the other players Manawatu lost and the one u gained from Waitakare but
but the only player you did lose to Waitakere was Totori
I dont see the connection between the others players lost and the CWC?
U made the point about the league becoming top heavy because of CWC

What about players gained for every franchise from other franchises. These comments about losing players is pretty lame. We all lose players, who are amateur, for all sorts of reasons. Work commitments, relationships, desire to be in a bigger shop window, money all create a willingness for players to move. the players are the ones who agree to move and it's not like they are professional under very strict contracts.

Fowler, Gill to Waikato, Tinkler, Douglas, Imray to Wellington, the swaps between Auckland and Waitakere.

Sure we all lose players that are good and get back players that aren't as good but that is our club's issue. Would Totori have gone if manawatu had offered the same package - would Manawatu been prepared to offer him a fulltime coaching job in the regions.

We all have to stop blaming progressive clubs who want to get better, instead we need to ask why our clubs arent willing to be prepared to get better.

I would imagine the pressure on Tuaa and Milicich is greater than the pressure on any other coach in the NZFC and they respond by signing the best players they can get and then drive their teams to win. How would Halligan, Wilkinson, Gould, Phelam, Rufer and Jacobs react under the same pressure and would they then demand from their clubs the same resources the two auckland clubs have.

We saw a little of the pressure get to Jacobs the other week and he responded with a change in attitude of we will make the playoffs instead of telling everyone he would win the league.

Tuaa and Milicich have made no bold predictions they are both just getting on with the job and it wouldnt surprise me if both of them dont bring in even stronger players in the transfer window to help them win the league.

Surely we all want our clubs to be the same and if we dont then we have to stop complaining about it.

I know for a fact that Auckland City and Waitakere United made very little $$ from the CWC. After paying everything to compete they will be left with very little. Those two clubs will play a lot more games, travel further and do more than any of the other clubs. If you look at both of their schedules they could be playing 7 or 8 games in 4 weeks across the NZFC and O-league. They ask their players for an awful lot and there is a reason the players are happy and we all have to demand from our clubs the same sort of desire.

Players love to win and they want to play for winning coaches and teams. Money distorts the issue sure but its not like they are getting a huge amount. I would imagine the Robinsons of the league are getting more than a lot of the Auckland and Waitakere players.

We need to stop complaining and start asking why our clubs can't or won't compete.

Colin doesnt like haynes because back in the day Haynes left Manawatu to join Napier and when he scored for Napier against Manawatu he ran up to Colin with his NCR badge and put it in his face....nothing to do with his game....which I might add he is playing really good this year. Plus you were asking why Manawatu got beaten 8-0 so I gave a reason.
