McCowatt, Bright, Tade

Conor Tracey (3rd GK), Rogers, Hudson-Wihongi, Dalton Wilkins, Harry Edge, Dan Morgan, Cam Howieson, Reid Drake all got second half playing time. De Vries, Raniga, White on the sideline training. Can't recall if Berlanga came on but he was around. Zubikarai due back soon.

Parker-Price did nothing of note that I recall - McCowatt the standout of the three Ole boys, seems like he'll be a decent replacement for Lewis. Bright didn't get a lot of service, looked better when he came short to collect. ACFC very disjointed - introducing a lot of new players and having a makeshift defence (TAHW their second half) big factors.

Bright confirmed as in, a quick catchup with him here...

http://www.aucklandcityfc.com/news/424/12/Navy-Blues-seal-Bright-future-/

Auckland City FC welcome former All Whites striker Kris Bright to the club for the upcoming ISPS Handa Premiership season.

The former Lincoln City and Shrewsbury Town forward joins the Navy Blues as a free agent following his departure from Northern Ireland outfit Linfield.

The 31-year-old brings experience to the Navy Blues following stints in Europe across the past decade and is sure to add firepower to an already strong squad.

Bright was the Navy Blues’s first new signing of the off-season and gives Head Coach Ramon Tribulietx another dimension in attack.

The Navy Blues new recruit won five All Whites caps a tally that included a solitary international goal in a 3-1 defeat to Thailand. Bright also played for the New Zealand Knights in the Hyundai A-League.

How many other Knights players are still active?

There's Liam Graham...

http://www.aucklandcityfc.com/news/425/12/All-Whites-Graham-joins-Auckland-City-FC/

Auckland City FC is excited to announce the signing of All Whites defender Liam Graham, who joins the club having spent the best part of five years playing in Europe.

Graham arrives at Kiwitea Street following two years with Chesterfield and spells in Italy with Ascoli, Monza and Pro Patria.

The Melbourne-born Kiwi international has won four caps and was most recently on loan with National League South outift Whitehawk FC based in Brighton, England.

He won his first All Whites cap in a 2-1 defeat to Mexico on 9 October 2016 and featured in a 1-1 draw with the USA and two FIFA World Cup qualifiers with New Caledonia.

not necessarily could have just been trialing - but yeah it's just the official conformation of what has been known for a while now

Well, bugger. Two years in a row we've lost the opener.

Southern next Sunday. Sheesh.

Thoroughly enjoyed Southern's game against City today. Auckland dominated but lacked a bit of cutting edge I thought; De Vries is a bit wasted through the middle. Does anyone know why Bright wasn't in the squad?

Ten would not be an exaggeration. Hamilton were woeful and you struggle to think of any players (bar one) that are National league standard. Was interested to see Armin Pasagic front up for them. Was one of Eastern Suburbs best last year , and he turned out for Central in Winter. Can only assume it was a foreign quota or $ issue. Could see his frustration mounting over the 90 minutes. Auckland really didn't have to get out of second gear to score six.

Hamilton suffer from what I call "Ricki Herbert" syndrome. I see his son is assistant as well, wondering what credentials he has?

Given how badly ACFC schooled the Reserve Nix, I wondered why the Nix didn't/haven't signed any of them? Obviously a few were in the Nix previously but watching reserve players like Watson- Tade's leagues above him

Even players like Callum are better than some of the Nix squad.

Na and he left NZ for a season back in Argentina so it’s probably still awhile off. By then he’s probably no better than Roy anyway

Fuck this stupid game

Tade's an import. That's literally the reason.

I'd take a player like Kaluđerović over Tade anyday.

Just me, or is it a bit weird (sharke?) for one of the country's most visible football reporters (he gets some credit for that, although loses most of it for working for stuff) to be making such a broad and daft statement? Or maybe I just don't understand twitter?
