Personally, I rated Messam ahead of Brockie in value for the Bay...Brockie will be missed,he was the type of player that could 'turn it on' and with a moment of magic , win a game for a team.Messam was a more traditional 'up and at'em ' type..more 'in your face'. Having said that, the Hawkes Bay attack was far to pussy like for me, not enough aggression.

A reminder of your playing days Accy Stan?
Have you guys finalised your squad yet? Haven't heard anything from YHM for a long time now.

Brendon...weekends kinda poxy on account of the TAB taking my $$  ...we are planning a trip to Palmy ,probably through the club as Barrie Hughes is talking of a supporters bus going down.Trouble is, don't now know when we are due to play on account of the 'draw' situation.Go to the Bay Army site to keep informed...

Jafas away is the first game, the first home game is vs Canterbury, and we have about 3 or 4 home games in a row as well

You seem amazingly calm AStan. I've just found out that the draw that I thought was the correct one has been changed again and I'm spitting!! Seriously considered spending my summer at the beach but I just can't go cold turkey. May see you at the Island or Memorial at some stage if we've both got the same draw.

Possible, but you would be brave to have your money on a player not at Waitak or Auckland.

Why? Gonzo Nieres was joint top last season at a below par YoungHeart and Totori blitzed everyone the season before.
